Ripped Off

I paid passportsandvisas.com to obtain an India work visa which they said would take 15 working days. I sent in proper paperwork after paying.

They then ask me to send the paperwork again. After 20 days I started calling and e-mailing. The phone number counts down ..4th in line..3rd..2..hangs up. I found several numbers to Barbara Sosa and Glenda Delk.

They never returned any of my calls or messages. I sent the paperwork in again and found out it was a drop-box, so I called the number and told the guy to tell whoever picked it up I needed the passport back. A few days later Glenda Delk sent an e-mail my passport had been submitted. A few days later her e-mail was cut off.

I found out they never submitted anything.

I had to get a new passport and reported my old one stolen. This all took 4 months and I could not go on the job in India.

Horrible Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

1) I was supposed to leave today, but still don't have my passport

2) They had a deadline of last week and told me that they would meet it

3) I learned that they sat on my application for 1 week before submitting to the consulate for my visa.

4) No one bothered to contact me to tell me that my order was delayed

5) I tried for two hours straight to call someone on Friday, during their business hours. Their phone system kept hanging up on me. When I reached someone on Saturday, they said that they were short-staffed, and that's what the phone system does when they are short-staffed - it hangs up on people. Seriously - this is how you care about customer service?

6) They said that a manager would call me first thing on Monday morning to explain what had happened and when I'll get my passport. So far, no call.

7) I've left multiple voicemails for different people, and have emailed 2 different email addresses - still no response yet.

8) Their website has a "live chat" button, but it doesn't work. It goes to a login page for livechat.com, like passportsandvisas.com used to have an account with them but now don't

Completely ridiculous customer service. DO NOT USE THEM!

It was difficult to even give this company a one star. It is a complete scam.

My boss was going on a last minute trip to China and in order to secure his visa on time, we decided to use this service. They demanded we pay expedited fees up front (which we did) and assured us that they would have the passport and visa back the day before the trip was scheduled. They received the correct documents on time, but did not submit them to the Embassy until 5 DAYS LATER. Reminder: they charged us the expedited fees!

Our office consistently made attempts to follow up with their staff members (it was Juan from the Atlanta office and his supervisor Francessca). On the day we were supposed to receive the passport, Juan hung up the phone twice while we checked on the status. We attempted to call other offices and were completely disregarded.

Here is where we currently stand, 5 days after the visa was supposed to arrive: no visa, no passport. Obviously, we had to cancel the entire trip. This includes a non-refundable flight and hotel reservations. And no refund offered by Passports and Visas (hardly surprising, seeing as we still cannot get in touch with them!)

Long story short - this service is a complete scam. They will take your money and disappear. At this point, we just want the passport back. Please do yourself a favor and just handle a passport renewal or visa application yourself.

I've used passportsandvisas before (April 2018) and got the visa the very next day for India business evisa. However, this time, it's like they fell off the face of the earth!

Like you, they charged us fees up front for the service and now they are MIA. Talk about major panic. I've now gone with another service provider because I cannot risk waiting. Horrible business.

Will not return calls, emails, messages. What a sham.

DO NOT TRUST this company. They don't respond to any requests.

The phone lines are a joke, it counts down the number you are in the queue and when it gets to your turn, the system hangs up on you. I have written multiple emails to Barbara Sosa asking for an update with ZERO response.

They never sent me the postage paid Fed Ex number so I had to pay for it again, so now I've got to fight for a refund. BEWARE of this service!

After paying the initial $240 i was called and told that the co needed a blank money order for $190 so they can take it to the Cuban embassy. The company was having issues and i would get my money back as a credit in my credit card.

I got a phone call today from another company named Cuba Travel. The lady told me that Passport and Visas use them as the Cuban Visa contact. They have received my Cuba Visa and had no way of contacting Passports and Visas because the phones are hanged up when you get your turn. This is a watning.

Do not use them as they r a mess snd you will not get any services.

Ive been calling all day and cant get to talk to anyone. Even Philip thats out of Miami and i was told he is the owner doent respond.

The worst company - They do not do what they say they will do! Still waiting on refund and no response!

1) I paid 440.00 for a change of name passport and a visa name change with a turn around of 10-12 days - DID NOT HAPPEN

2) Only when I got the Dept. of State involved, did I EVER receive a reply to the multitude of calls and emails that were never returned.

3) They only processed my passport which they did not send over until AFTER a month had already gone by.

4) They did not process the Visa either - 1) because they sat on their bums and did NOTHING and then 2) when I finally did get a response, I told them to forget the Visa and give me a refund for that WHICH I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ALONG WITH NO RESPONSE. I also told them I wanted ALL of my documents that I had sent them.

5) When I finally sent back my passport, I did NOT receive my other documents that I sent to them and requested back.

Still waiting on any response back from them about refund...CRICKETS!!!!

Terrible service, rude and unprofessional staff

Passports and Visas advertise that they can expedite visa service. In my case (one of the worst experiences I have ever had) not only they failed to issue me the visa on time (which resulted in canceling a non-refundable ticket as well as my hotel reservations) they also misled me, they stopped answering the phone after their colossal failure, they were rude and unprofessional and only after my attorney wrote their Managing Director a letter they returned my passport.

It took them 4 days to submit my docs for the visa and in the meantime they were assuring me that the visa will be issued on time.

NEVER EVER use their services.

Worst experience

Needed a visa. Paid several hundred dollars to expedite it.

Tried to follow up with the process, but no one picked up the phone.

Or when they did they put me on hold for forever.

Long story short . Passport came too late had to cancel my trip and everything that was part of it.

There was never an explanation to why they didn't keep their word and expedite the matter.

Rude and very unhelpful after I finally talked to somebody.

At some point they said we don't know where your passport is. Meaning what stage it is in or even maybe lost it?

This comment was unbelievable.

When you ask for so much money to provide a service I expect you to provide that service to me. How dare they ask for such an enormous amount of money and not do anything.

Since I was willing to pay this amount it means that it was extremely urgent to me to have that visa on time.

Business was lit because of this. Who will reimburse me ?

Very frustrating experience.

Duped by what they are

Terrible service. It is a scam.

They make it look like you are actually renewing your passport. They hide the language that they are a service. Then when you realize it too late, they charge you $50 to cancel within 24 hours, which is all they give you to cancel, even on the weekends when they are closed.. Do not use this service.

Do not be taken in by them. They do not respond to emails or return phone calls. I just need to renew my pass port. I thought I was on the government site.

But I was taken in by theirs. I realized within ten minutes of my submission that it was a service. I called to cancel, but no one was in as it was a Saturday. I immediately sent two emails.

When I finally reached someone, I was told that I could only speak to my account manager, a person who did not respond to my emails or phone calls. A week later, I finally got an answer that my refund was "in process" and would take 7-14 business days. Really? It only took one day to charge me.

And there is a $50 cancelation fee. On a $139 charge. Thirty-six percent? Isn't there a law against that?

Avoid my mistake! Stay away from this company!

SCAM! WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. SOOOO PISSED NEVER, EVER USE THESE GUYS

I WAS GOING ON TO CANCUN. NEEDED PASSPORT IN 7-10 days.

Called on Friday evening. I understood it would be 279.00 for 2 people. It was 279.00 for one and then 309.00 for the other. Plus, government, and post office fees.

Total cost, (WHICH THEY DONT TELL U) is 504.00 for one person!!!

Also, they are closed on the weekend!!! When I went to post office on Saturday. I had all my paper work, but they were in such a hurry on Friday to get my money. They did not give me an address to ship it to.

So, I did not get it off until Monday afternoon! The Baton Rouge, Louisiana Post office said it was a SCAM.

I could have gotten this done in New Orleans, La. In 3 hours, they would have handed me the passport, and half the cost

Passport Renewal

This company attempted to assist my son in renewing his passport. They were very quick to take his money and not provide any service.

When he tried to schedule an appointment, the guy was on vacation. The nearest other office was in New York - 6 hours away. They failed to advise him that he had other simple ways to renew his passport. When I called to get a refund, I was advised to call the California office and speak to Mike Cordoba.

He was very rude and hung up on me. He stated absolutely no refunds after 24 hours even if no service was provided.

Owner Puts Staff in Tough Spot

Passportsandvisas.com, an online service that does rush passport processing, has given me the run around for nearly 4 months. The company failed to process my passport within the promised time, then can't seem to mail my partial refund check. After numerous calls and emails, the owner in Dec. said the check was on it...s way. Today, 2 phone numbers---a VM (only) cell and a land line are out of service, leaving only the toll free ordering number. Online reviews posted on CitySearch are scary at best.

The front line staff in the toll free processing center try to help and are reasonable (though one of them was rude to me today and hung up). The staff have no authority, though, to issue refund checks, "only the owner can do that," they tell me each time. And then the owner hides behind voice mail and difficult to obtain phone numbers. The owner puts the staff in a tough spot and the customer in an even tougher spot.

Update: Finally I did receive my refund check and the owner apologized for the delay. Though the delay was unacceptable, I feel the company is showing that it wants to stay in business and cares about its reputation. I'd be careful using them, but I don't feel cheated anymore.

PassportsandVisas.com Rip Off

There are many express passport services on the web who promise to get your passport done in as little as 24 hours. The process involves the same procedure as getting one on your own, except that you mail the contents of a sealed envelope to the passport service, who should get to you in a lot shorter time than the normal way. The government office is very familiar with allowing you to take the sealed envelope and other materials to get this done.

Of all the different agencies I had to choose from, I was unlucky enough to have chosen www.passportsandvisas.com The final step, after you have paid for the service online and gone to the appropriate government center to have the materials sealed, is to mail it to them. To do this, you need to call the service and they will give you the address for your area.

Herein lies the problem: when you call, they don't answer. The first day we called and we got a "mailbox is full" message. The next day, a Friday, we call and get a message that they will call me on the next business day which would be the following Monday. That means from the time I've paid the fee and done all of the work of going to the office (with my ex-wife no less!) to get a passport for our son, the only thing holding me back is a lousy address. I sent e-mails to the order tracking address and no response.

Having to wait until Monday is already four days longer than I expected. I expected to just call and get an address. The problem is my vacation is coming up and our son needs to travel with me. Now Monday has come and gone and (guess what?) no phone call.

I tried to call other services, but they say that the release form inside the sealed envelope identifies www.passportsandvisas.com as the only agency able to handle the documents.

Keep in mind: I have been fighting a four year court battle to get my ex-wife to agree to letting our son travel overseas. She finally agrees, yet every day that goes by that my son doesn't have a passport is another day lost.

BTW, I have confirmed that www.passportsandvisas.com has received the money from my credit card.

Got call from wife to start the process for her to get her passport renewed quickly (while she was driving home). Signed up and paid on Passports and Visas.com only to hear from my wife (within an hour of paying) that she won't send all this important information thru the mail or any carrier.

Makes sense in this day and age of Identity Theft. Tried to cancel within an hour of paying and was told about the $50 cancellation charge. Called and emailed Francesca and after more than a day (not an hour) was told that the $50 charge was company policy and I should have read ALL the terms and conditions prior to paying. Anyone who wants a service like this, is in a rush and doesn't want to waste an hour reading terms and conditions.

They hadn't started any work or wasted any time on me, they are just a cheep company looking for a quick buck. They don't care about the customer. VERY CHEESY!!! Denver actually has a government office to get a passport in one day.

You don't need these clowns for anything. Do NOT use them.

Guest

Wow, sorry to hear about your problem getting your passport expedited. I can relate to the ex-wife hassle.

I have used expresspassport.com a couple of times and haven't yet hand any issues getting my passport. I know it's a few years late but maybe it can help someone out there as there are a lot of these companies.

Guest

Don't use this company....

Passport agency said we can't use the service due to the timing of our trip. This was unknown to us at the time we made the payment.

Called back several times without any answer. When they finally answered, I was told that no refunds are offered except for the shipping costs.

Run away...

I discovered I lost my Passport 3 days before leaving for Ireland. Since there is no Passport Office in my area, my choice was to either fly to LA or SF or use an expediting company and Passports and Visas was the first one I came to.

After submitting my application and paying $80 to Fed Ex it, I began reading these reviews and was very skeptical that I would get the 24 hour turnaround. And then the state department had technical issues and no passports were issued nationwide for one whole day. Now I was panicky!

But Passports and Visas came through as promised and while I did not get 24 hr turn around, I did have a valid passport withing 48 hours and am now heading to Ireland. I am very grateful for their services and even though costly, better than missing a great trip and losing the dollars I spent for the trip!!

Guest

Don't use any of these companies unless you absolutely have no choice! Yes, there are legitimate reasons you might need to get a passport on an emergency basis, but the first answer is NOT to call one of these places.

It can be difficult to impossible to get thru' to the passport office, that's very true, but we still do have post offices(and county clerks) that take passport applications & what you do is CALL ONE OF THEM FIRST! Even your local post office should be able to tell you what offices accept passport applications -or, try USPS.com. Can they issue the passport there? No.

What they can do is process your application and prepare it as a "hand-carry" so that you or your agent can take it to the closest passport office & have it processed on an expedited basis-without piling an insane fee on the top. In the case of a legitimate emergency, the passport acceptance personnel at the PO have an emergency phone number they can give you -and you can get through, even on weekends & holidays. All these agencies do is have somebody go to the passport office with as many applications as they can sucker from individuals & businesses and dump them on the passport office while they go out to lunch or shop -they come back later & pick them up & you pay for their day. You'd be shocked at how many businesses use these "services" on a regular basis -no need for it, huge waste of $$, which is undoubtedly written off on the taxpayers or passed along to the consumer-they have no idea their people are going to travel?

Not every passport should be an emergency. When I worked in the travel industry & found out how this worked I said I'm going to quit, start one of these, & steal legally.

If you live anywhere within a reasonable distance of a passport office, try to hand-carry your own applications. Don't pay the *** tax!

I made a mistake and used this company – it almost cost me a trip to China. I sent them my passport a month before my travel date, and I didn't get my passport back in my hand until I went down to the Chinese consulate myself, literally pleading my case after being snuck in through the back door by a courier – of the consulate in NY. And waiting for hours. AND THIS WAS THE DAY BEFORE MY TRIP. I'm pretty sure I was paying passportsandvisas.com to avoid this.

Apparently, they farmed the job to another company when they realized they'd screwed up. I was very lucky to not have to cancel my trip.

The guys over there are polite on the phone, but they really don't know what's going on. Look elsewhere for this service.

I paid the fee for 5-7 day service. When I called to ask a question I was on hold for 20 minutes then I was cut off and recording told me I had reached a nonworking number.

This happened 3 times. Its been 2 days and they have not responeded to my emails either. No way I'm sending in the application. I will just do it the slow way.

At the very least this is *** customer service. $159 lesson learned

I like a lot of people found this company via a google search. I placed my order and then did a search of their reviews. Needless to say I was very concerned based reviews of this site. I am happy to saw that I was extremely happy with thier service. My passport arrived before they promised, They called me numerous times keeping me updated to my progress. This was a top notch experience for me. My only caviet is make extremely sure that you are following their directions to the letter. If you miss any of the forms that they need it WILL result in a delay.

Again, I sure the reviews here are real and they had bad experiences. I can just say for my experience it was excellent.

But wait, after I posted my comment #3 above, I finally got the partial refund I sought for quite some time. I then let my Facebook followers know that I had gotten satisfaction of my grievance and a sincere apology from the owner.

I also posted a follow up on this website, and confirmed that it had been posted. But it was not put into this string of comments. which is a bit disturbing.

To be fair to this company, the follow up comments explaining that a more positive outcome had occurred should have been kept. In any event, I do believe this company realizes that customer service is important and has taken steps to improve.

Passportsandvisas.com is Bad News! I hired them to expedite my passport-- the initial communication from them was kinda wierd-- didn't seem professional-- then I googled "Passportsandvisas.com complaints".

Tons of negative reviews came up-- Including the Miami BBB site which gives them an "F" rating due to 80 (yes 80) complaints they have not even responded to. I'm fortunate that I hadn't yet mailed my old passport to them.

My credit charge was already charged, but the credit card company agreed to charge the charges back to them. Baaaaad News.
