Preformed services that they were not supposed to and we got the bill
We were out of state. My husband needed to go to the dentist. I contacted my insurance company to see if a dental office in the area was in their plan. They were in our plan. I asked the insurance company what would be covered. I then asked my insurance company if they would go on a conference call to inform the dentist what was covered. They agreed and went over with the dentist what was covered and what was not covered. They also faxed the dental office what was covered and not covered after the phone conversation. They took it upon themselves to preform services that were NOT covered and then sent us the bill. They argued with me and pretty much told me "too bad" I had the transcript from the insurance company verifying that they were told what was covered and not covered. They continue to bill me. I would also like to mention that their office was very dirty and we were afraid that there would be an infection.
