DONT USE PARKSIDE IN TENNESSEE

AI Highlights
  • - Accuses Parkside Builders of deceit and negligence.
  • - They hold money hostage and rely on subcontractors when work is flawed.

They are Deceitful and Negligent at best! They will hold your money hostage and they have no control over their own builds!

They use sub-par sub contractors and then they hide behind them when the work is not done correctly. If you are not there every day to oversee your home, they will miss every single issue and cover it up. When asked about issue, they are negligent in correcting the issues in a timely manner and in the correct order. I honestly believe I could have built a better home with my own two hands in the amount of time they have taken so far.

They are the worst out there! If you live in Tennessee, don't use Parkside Builders!

Horrible customer service and follow up

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Poor customer care and communication.
  • - 1.5-month delays; color was wrong at closing; move-in support declined; yard items and fixtures missing.

I am HIGHLY disappointed at the lack of genuine customer care and horrible communication between us and the builder throughout the home building process. We reached out to them asking pertinent questions, and received vague responses, if any response was given at all.

Construction was pushed back and delayed 1.5 mo because of "weather" but come the day before closing with multiple weeks of great weather, we still had the wrong color home. On closing day, the little customer service we DID receive over the 8 mo construction process, went out the window, and its like pulling teeth to get a response from customer care now. We have building material STILL in our yard that has yet to be removed, blue tape items that were missed on the sub-par & rushed final walk through, missing light fixtures that were never addressed, items that were to be addressed at the final walk through that we were told would be addressed ASAP. Its been 2 weeks since move in and we haven't heard anything.

Despite the 4 + emails sent to follow up.

As frequent as I can give a review, I will inform people, this is NOT the builder to go with. They are lacking in every department, from communication, to customer service, to follow up, to quality of employees, to consistency.

Pros:
  • Nicole at the design center was very efficient and professional
  • Van the interior designer was most pleasant and accomodating
Reason of review:
Poor customer service

Preferred solution: Someone to QUICKLY reach out to resolve all outstanding issues as soon as possible.

Horrible Developer

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - Weston Village townhouse; quality is poor.
  • - Windows and doors left open during rain.
  • - Final walk-through had about 20 unaddressed items.

Purchased a town home in the Weston Village development in Murfreesboro. The homes look nice but the quality of the construction is not there.

Throughout the building process, they left windows and doors open while raining outside! During my final walk through, there were probably 20 items that still needed to be addressed; including holes on the outside of the home, doors that weren't well insulated, *** in the drywall that didn't get repaired until 3 months later, etc.

Even after closing, the issues weren't fixed for months and there are several other homes with roof leaks! Beware of this builder!

Bad quality

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution

Bad Home Builder

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
AI Highlights
  • - They promise fixes before closing; nothing gets resolved.
  • - Contractor no-shows, ongoing dirt and noise from builds; poor post-signature responsiveness.

This company will promise you everything to get you into a contract, but once you sign, forget about it. There were issues identified during the home inspection, walk-thru, and final walk-thru, that to this day have not been resolved.

On the day of closing, I was promised these issues would be taken care of before I finished signing the papers, and that was a lie. I foolishly believed they would follow through on their word, but that was a huge mistake. To get these issues taken care of I had to submit a work order through the home warranty. However, they have not yet fixed these issues.

FOUR times, I have been given a day and time of when their contractor would come and they have been a no-show each time. Additionally, the companies is still building homes in the subdivision and their contractors are so disrespectful of those who currently live here. They leave tons of dirt, rocks, trash, and nails in the road, and they blast music from the homes they are working on from early in the morning to late in the evening. I asked a painter to turn the music down and he told me to call the police because they wouldn't do anything.

They are great and responsive until you sign your contract, and everything after that is nightmare. BUYERS BEWARE!

Reason of review:
Poor customer service

Preferred solution: Pay for a contractor that I will pick who will actually show up and fix the issues that have been identified.
