Caused an injury., but refuse to take accountability

Dont go there!!After an emergency visit to the hospital I developed a major hematoma on my bicep. This continues to be an ongoing issue. When I contacted the hospital they sent me to the quality department. From the very first conversation there was nothing but denial. Absolutely refusing to take any responsibility for the injury that they have caused. They then have the nerve to send me additional bills after being paid by the insurance company. Mary Beth thinks shes a lawyer. she's certainly not a patient advocate! I have written a letter to the CEO and he did not even have the decency to contact me directly. Instead he had her contact me and asked me to sign and have notarized A letter that would absolve me of the balance of my payment as long as I sign something stating that they were not liable for the injury that they caused. Dont go to this hospital Ive seen some of the negative reviews and now I understand firsthand why. The administration obviously does not really care about their patients. They are more concerned with getting every penny from you instead. One of the most frustrating experience Ive ever had in dealing with a operation that refuses to take responsibility and accountability for their own poor quality!!!

User's recommendation: Don’t go there!!Poor quality and no accountability!

Not a good experience

dealing with a few doctors that think they know more than the patient and are not professional. If you try to clear a communication they tell in so many words that they are professional proper and the patient is wrong. They need to get there heads out of there bottom

For the most part everyone is very careing and kind

Most of the nurses are kind and caring with amazing bedside manners because when your in the hospital you want them to be that way in your in the hospital your sick so you should be treated that way but a few of the nurses act like they have good bed side manners and it be fake they should NOT work in a hospital if they can not be nice to the patient...

Three drs from this organization I've gone through

First dr rai I was seeing him for a while then I noticed I go in for appt for something specific and then I leave notice I gotta make new appt to correct or duplicate what it was a I originally saw him for. ( thinking he making money on visits and purposely forgetting stuff. Second dr hychvakowski no problems there I missed appt got cancelled. Third dr O'Malley things were ok until I missed appt figured was ok for 2appt but turns out because all three are connected I missed with dr hechkowski in April before dr O'Malley they counted towards me being put in the have to pay up front 65$. Yeah it's a business but the organization counts passed offences towards new drs.... I don't really think that's proper if I get cancelled for missing from one dr it shouldn't be used against me for the next.

Dr. Drummond Parkland Pain clinic in Dallas Texas

Ms. Drummond is another work of sh!^ from Parkland hospital pain clinic. My wife had been seeing another doctor (who was an absolute god send) for the past 5 months. He had her on (3) Hydrocodone pain pills per day to get through until she could get into the G.I department which is now coming up in June. It is a blocked bile duct that is causing a backup of bile making her feel like she is having a gallbladder attack. She has to have a procedure called an E.R.C.P. she had one done a few years ago and they removed a benign mass. The bile backed up so bad at one time that it irritated her pancreas and she was in God awful pain and developed Pancreatitus (i probably spelled it wrong) Any way Ms. Drummond walked into the room at the pain clinic and said " my name is dr. drummond I am taking over for the doctor you were seeing because he has been moved. I am going to wean you down off the pain pills to (2) a day then (1) a day. Any questions" My wife was so tired she just looked at the floor so I said *** yeah I got a question. How can you do this when the plan was to keep her comfortable until the G.I. appt. which is only 3 months away! She said "Well, im just telling you what I am going to do." I said mam she has not eaten a solid meal in 2 years. She survives on ensure, she has constant pain and lays in bed with a heating pad. G.I. said they can not possibly get her in early. Well, once again this is my plan. WOW!!!! so the last appointment we went to Ms. Drummond said "I am concearned that the blood work showed dilauded narcotics in your system. my wife said impossible. Ms. drummond said see it says no hydrocodone but positive for dilauded. I said no possible way ya'll mixed her urine up by mistake. Her answer was "well my dear, we label the urine so it is what it is." My wife said mam when I left the urine was still on the table with no label on it. Her response was "well this does not concern me, it's not like we are going to tell anyone" I said it concerns us! What would you do if that was your test showing a heavy narcotic and it's going on your medical record. Ms. Drummond said "Well I would say o.k. if thats what it said" I knew that was a lie. Nobody wants that *** in their medical record. So if you look at my report on Gerald Matchett from Parkland pain clinic you will know we had a meeting with heads of specific areas on May 21, 2013. We can request these test and doctors notes be amended which basically means our word against theirs! Even though if you look at my wifes test from 2010 until now it shows no dilauded but positive for hydrocodone. Now this one test is opposite, given we are in a pain clinic it makes sense that someone their is using dilauded and since the urine was not tagged in front of us it makes sense that it was an honest mistake on their end! However, that mistake is now a permanent record! ANYONE GOING TO PARKLAND PAIN clinic make sure they mark your urine in front of you! Please learn from our mistake! If you have Dr. Drummond, she is a skinny blond headed *** attitude and poor excuse for a doctor, try to switch doctors if you can! Nothing I wrote is false or exaggerated. PLEASE protect yourself. I know it is hard and I know you are hurting and sick and just want help but a bad note on your medical record last far longer than an uncomfortable situation. Please learn from us!

This hospital is a joke, unqualified to treat patients

i was admitted to parkland medical center for a severe bone infection, the hospitalist doctors are all of pakistani decent and should not be allowed to practice medicine, first they prescribed a antibiotic that i have a severe life threatening allergy to that would have killed me,they double dosed the normal on dilaudid a very potent pain killer that caused me to go in to respiratory distress, the doctors are rude, immature, unethical, and really need to go back to medical school for the fact is they do not have a lick of knowledge to medicine, the doctors that are incompetent are Dr.Kalliel,Dr. Patel, dr. shoor these are the most lazy and incompetent alleged medical professionals i have ever met and i work in the medical field, this hospital needs to get a clue and fire these medical school rejects.

Have you noticed that an overwhelming majority of participants who post complaints here have an extremely poor grasp of the English language? Most messages here seem to be posted by people who lack any sense of what a coherent message is, post what amount to rants (as opposed to legitimate "complaints"), almost always show absolutely no understanding, concept or implementation of proper grammar, proper punctuation or correct spelling and generally appear extremely uneducated or display a reading level of that of a 7 year old.

It's my opinion that most of the problems these folks incur is a direct result of their own ignorance, be that as a result of not reading agreements or contracts (or simply not having the ability to read these documents) or suffering from the same lack of English retention and understanding they show right here posting their complaints. I know this sounds like I'm bashing these people, but in reality, I find this very sad and quite alarming. One reason big business gets away with what they get away with is partly because (based on what I see here), people just aren't as intelligent or educated as they should be (or used to be?), and as such, are taken advantage of for more often and easier than, say, myself and other folks who took schooling much more seriously. It's quite evident that functional illiteracy is taking over as the norm in this country, and that's a scary thought, indeed!

The "dumbing-down of America", has transgressed to the "dumb America", unfortunately. And those using "Ebonics" and/or "leet-speak" make matters even worse. But in my opinion, the greater issue here isn't the use of such improper grammar, spelling and punctuation, it's the general acceptance of such. Our language is changing, certainly not for the better, and the results are before us.

Uneducated people who cannot communicate a simple thought, who are underpaid, undervalued, probably overworked and obviously taken advantage of which creates a larger disparity among social circles are contributing to the economic downfall of our country. Intentionally ("Ebonics") or otherwise (acceptance of "leet speak").

The biggest problem in my opinion? When these types of messages are accepted as the norm, it hurts us all as a whole.
