Parker Marine Water Maker - model 400

In August of 2013 I purchased an Horizon Water Maker model 400. It worked briefly for about 2 months then failed. I had it repaired by an authorized Horizon technician. But the unit failed again. The technician contacted the factory and was told the part that they first sent him was defective and that they would send him a new part. That worked for about 3 months and the unit failed again. Another part was sent and that part lasted about 3 months. To this date my water maker has not worked for more than 3 months. I hired another technician, as the boat is in a different venue. He were told that all the parts that they had previously sent were indeed defective and there was no immediate way to fix my 400. So I have a worthless $11,000 piece of equipment that that the manufacture says they are unable to fix. Great company unless they reimburse me for the unit - which so far they have not offered to do

Incompetent mechanic with no knowledge of jet outdrives

Don't go here. The guy is incompetent and stoned half the time. He sold me on his ability to rebuild a motor for my boat. I finally had to take the boat away and found out he damaged the new rebuilt block I purchased, thereby voiding the warranty and I am screwed. He actually had the gall to yell at me for his failure to do the job. If you have any common sense you will heed my warning. This guy has no business being in business and I have filed a complaint with the BAR. When he put the jet drive back on the boat he used grommets rather than rubber washers (what a ***) and they leak. After picking up the boat and taking it for a test run I discover it was overheating and had an exhaust leak. When I took it back he took four days to "fix it" and told me it was the engine rebuilders fault and that it was a head gasket failure so he replaced the gasket (voiding warranty) and when I took it out again the problem was the same and the leak was from the exhaust manifold. What a fool I was to trust this *** artist.

Parker Automotive took my money, rendered NO services, with NO refund.

On 12-23-12 I paid Parker Automotive and Marine $450 towards the parts and purchase of a vehicle (2001 Audi A6) and was promised to drive it home within 3 days. The business owner has since changed his entire attitude, avoiding my calls...or screaming obscenities and threatening me when he does answer the phone.I have still not seen the car, and upon requesting a refund I got a flat out refusal. I believe his exact words were "You will never get your f#@%ing money back!". This has honestly been the worst experience I have ever had with any business.
