I spoke with them. I can’t trust this company anymore.

They offered for me to bring my car back . I find that a useless idea.

Original review Nov 07, 2024
Zero stars for Park Place Grapevine! I brought my car to Park Place for the second time regarding the same issue.

The front end has always made a horrible noise a loud creaking noise like suspension or axel issues. My car is a 2024 bought in 2023 and had less than 10K the first time I asked them to look at the issue and they told me nothing was wrong. Second time the car had 16K miles and I was misleading by my advisor Colton more than once. First, he told me Friday they could not find an issue with the car, so they needed to keep it another day to have a specialist look at it.

Saturday I never received an alert that my car ever moved, so no specialist looked at my car. Monday, they tell me it is a problem with the axel, and they needed another day for the diagnostic specialist to confirm. Tuesday Colton text and tells me that they put lube on the system, and the car was fixed and I could pick up the car. When picking up the car Colton did not have the guts to come speak with me, this is unprofessional to not speak to your client upon pick up.

So now I will take my car to Sewell Lexus to find out the problem and get it resolved. Park Place seems to not car about their clients.

I will no longer use Park Place Grapevine for service parts or buying a vehicle. Colton you and your service department lost a customer.I do not I do not rec

Critical Review of Park place Lexus Grapevine Salesman - Shon

AI Highlights
  • - Shon lacked car knowledge and deflected questions.
  • - Paperwork included a blank affidavit, unclear explanations, and a missing trade-in document.

I had an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with Shon, a salesman at a Lexus dealership. From the start, it was clear that he lacked both knowledge and professionalism.

He didnt know anything about the vehicle he was trying to sell me, and when I asked about the cars features, instead of providing answers, he kept deflecting. He told me someone else would explain the car to me later but I needed to know what I was buying before committing. After several requests for clarity, he said tell me whats important for you to have and Ill tell you if its on the car an incredibly lazy response from someone who should know the product inside and out.

The paperwork process was even worse. He had me sign documents that he could not explain, including a blank affidavit.

When I asked for clarity, he couldnt justify why it was needed or how it would be used. This felt careless and unprofessional, especially considering the importance of legal documents in such transactions.

On top of that, he failed to secure a required document for my trade-in. Days after the purchase, I received a frantic call from him, saying I needed to urgently sign something for them to process my trade-in. When I couldnt call back immediately, I asked him to send the document by email, but it never arrived.

I checked my email throughout the day and evening, yet there was no sign of the promised document. The next day, I followed up again, only to have him ask for my email address which I had already given him. Still never received an email but he continued to send harassing texts throughout the day asking why I wasnt calling him back, and when I told him I had been in meetings all day and promised to send it to him before the end of the day, he became more impatient and claimed he had contacted me on Monday, a day earlier than he actually had, likely to avoid getting into trouble with his manager for mishandling the process.

Overall, Shon was phony, dismissive, and entirely unprofessional throughout the entire process. His lack of product knowledge, mishandling of paperwork, and relentless badgering made this the worst car-buying experience Ive ever had.

Despite claiming hes been in the business for 17 years, it was clear he didnt know the documents he was having me sign, let alone the car he was selling.

I strongly advise against working with him.

If youre considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, it would be in your best interest to seek assistance from another salesperson. Doing so will spare you the time, frustration, and inconvenience of dealing with someone who appears both unprepared and unwilling to fulfill their responsibilities effectively.

Service scam

AI Highlights
  • - Text claimed a 4-wheel alignment was needed, but nothing was found.
  • - I had new tires a month earlier and had the alignment then.
Updated by user Aug 28, 2023

The company called. Acted like they didn’t understand my complaint.

And didn’t apologize, just wanted me to remove the complaint. $199 for a service they swindled me into.

Shame on them. I’d never go back and as a frequent buyer of my former favorite brand, I won’t buy another Lexus because the parent company allows this scam to continue unabated.

Received a text while getting routine service. During service we Discovered you need a 4 wheel alignment.

Fearing an issue I OKed.

They discovered nothing. Their bulletin called for an alignment at the mileage indicated. Problem was I had purchased new tires a month before and had the 4 wheel alignment at that time. Their message was not truthful.

Saying discovered alarmed me to OK it. If they had been honest and said the alignment is called for at your mileage I would have explained why it was not needed

  • - The service included an oil change.

A guy called explaining he was leaving soon , but wanted to hear my story. He did not do anything to resolve the problem.

He would not acknowledge my issue. I quoted right from my phone the text I received that caused me to OK the charge. They scammed me by saying “during inspection we discovered you need a 4 Wheel allignment”.

That was a lie. I wonder how many other less knowledgeable people get scammed by this dealership.

Took in my $57,000 Lexus 450 H hybrid SUV for service. It was purchased as a certified used car with a good free service plan included.

I took it in and discussed the service expected, basically an oil change, fluid top offs and inspections. Sitting in the waiting rook I received a text on my phone, During the inspection it was discovered that your car needs a 4 wheel alignment. Worried I sent an OK return text, hoping theyd resolve a problem.

When I picked up the car and after paying $189, I learned there was no inspection they just wanted to do what the mileage called for in the manual. If they had talked with name I would have declined because I had purchased 4 new tire and had the alignment done 10 days earlier.

Parkplace Lexus Grapevine Service - where I go to feel *** and cheated.

AI Highlights
  • - Bought 3 cars; service has been a problem every time.
  • - RX350 maintenance every 5k miles with a $100 tire rotation; alignment issues.

I have bought 3 cars there. I have had trouble with the service department every frigging time.

Overcharging, too frequent service, talking down to customers. This '13 RX350 requires maintenance every 5000 miles,100 bucks to rotate tires. This is an opportunity for the "service advisor" to locate other "broken" items. As an aside, I have had 4 G35/G37 sport cars.

I know what Luxury Service Looks like. From 2010-forward, the RX350 uses synthetic oil. When I asked why a SUV uses synthetic, the "service advisor" told me, "It is a synthetic engine." That is BS. On a previous service I went in to have two wheel rims redone, which meant two tires had to come off the car.

Mysteriously, when I got the car back, the wheels were out of alignment. It took three days to straighten out that situation. On a previous car, there was an alignment problem where parts had to be replaced. After a week, 1200 dollars was required to get the car back.

Nope, none of the parts were under warranty, "they said". I equate Parkplace Lexus service to Firestone and Sear service centers where lying to a customer, gouging the customer, talking down to the customer was Standard Practice.

Update. Service manager called me and bent over double trying to regain my trust.

Has promised me will do that and train his service advisors to be more careful in how things are stated. This is the first time I felt compelled to write a complaint, because I was so bent out of shape.

He was just as compelled to try to change my mind. Via his solid promise, I promise to clean the slate.
