Paradise Fence And Decks of Milton

DO NOT CALL PARADISE FENCING IN MILTON, FL VERY UNPROFESSIONAL I strongly believe in referrals and want others to know how I was treated! After Hurricane Sally, I have been trying to find companies available to give me quotes. Finally was able to reach and speak with Paradise Fencing. After explaining what I needed and why, I was told someone would be glad to meet with me and give me a quote. The owner met me at my sons property in Pensacola, where I was needing a quote on a custom built fence for the insurance. Was up front and honest with him about everything!!! Explained we would need a new fence (not like current fence-the new one would be easier) for that property and I also wanted him to come to my home in Milton and give me a quote, where I am on a third of an acre. At my sons, as the original fence was custom built by the previous owner, I needed 2 quotes. The first quote for the insurance of the cost to replace the fence exactly as it was built. This was needed for verification of correct replacement cost by the insurance, which they were aware was coming. The second quote, was for the actual replacement of a new standard privacy fence. I also asked for recommendations. He said no problem, he would be glad to give me the quotes, and proceeded to gather all the info. Later, he even texted me for my sons name who owns the property, and that the insurance is listed under. I gladly gave it! The next day, I received a text stating he was going to pass on giving me a written estimate. (He sent me an email stating -not a written estimate-a $20 approximate cost on items per foot! Not even how many feet. What am I supposed to do with that???) I texted as to why? His response was because my son has someone working on his remodeling. (He was fully aware of this when he came to the house and said he would gladly give a quote). I tried calling, but he would not answer the phone. I followed up with a text and told him, as I had the day before, the guy working on the remodeling of the home is not a fence installer. Just as the roof was needing replaced, I was calling roofing companies because he doesnt install new roofs either. The owner at Paradise would not respond!!! Never gave me a real answer as to why, and then did not accept my phone calls!!! Sent them straight to voicemail. Did not respond to any more of my texts. I was EXTREMELY upset as Im very stressed at the moment (which I had shared w/ him). Im trying to juggle tons of things!!! Im helping my son w/ his new home, Im running between 2 properties (mine in Milton and my sons in Pensacola), trying to get repairs and quotes on my home (which Paradise was supposed to follow up the following week and give me a cost to replace the fence at my home). I lost my mom last year and am still trying to recover from that (never will) and handle various ongoing issues, now caring for my elderly 83 yo stepdad (who is in process of having doctors appointments and surgeries), and I have VERY LITTLE/NO time to be wasted! I also found it extremely unprofessional that he could not and would not even speak to me over the phone to explain why or what happened! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE Follow-up: I posted this review in the Nextdoor app and received responses that told me others had similar experiences!
