Panerai Pam 352 Review from Kuwait, Al Kuwayt

AI Highlights
  • - Kuwait dealer sold scratched bracelet.
  • - Watch back is scratched.
  • - Mechanism stopped after a fall.
  • - Please contact mzanki@***.com.

My Pam 352 . 1st of all my dealer in kuwait was nice enough to sell me a completely scratched bracelet .

And the watch is scratched on the back , of course I did not notice until several weeks afterward cause I had a strap on that time . Now the mechanism stopped completely just after falling once . I thought after paying a great deal on that watch it was supposed to be tough . Iam beginning to be disappointed with the whole brand .

What will they do ?

What should I do !

Non existent after sales service

AI Highlights
  • - The Panerai Luminor GMT is four years old; strap pin and locking mechanism failed.
  • - Repair shop in Thailand won't honor warranty; quote over $3,000.

I own a 4 year old Panerai Luminor GMT.

The barrel/pin holding the strap to the steel case falls out as the locking mechanism has failed.

I live in Thailand where there is just one 'official' Panerai repair shop but they won't touch it under any kind of service warranty.

They tell me I have to pay which they tell me will be just over US $3000.

Surely a watch of this stature is protected by warranty of some kind?

The Panerai website is of no use as I cannot elicit any practical help.

Does anyone have any advice in repairing the watch?

Many thanks.

The same thing happened to my husband's watch just now!! We live in NY and he paid EUR 10,000 for his watch six years ago.

He bought it in Switzerland. The Panerai shop in NY said that they cannot help him so they fedexed it to Switzerland just to learn now that: The lug screw bar is broken and the threading is stripped and damaged. Therefore, a replacement of the case is

required. Which costs $3,450.

May I ask what you did with your watch when this happened?

It seems crazy that for such a high purchase price there is no warranty on the CASE! Thank you.
