Extremely Disappointed with services
I am a retired Dentist from NJ and practiced in a group practice for 30 years.
I wnet to him with a broken tooth emergency with no pain. I wanted the tooth bonded and repaired.
I was put off for an appt. to repair in the future of a over a month the critical work was never accomplished.
The staff was not friendly, I paid my first visit and had 2 dental insurances and they insisted on payment and as a retired dentist I was insulted by their rudeness of staff and Dr. Burman additionally. I was concerned about getting the appt.
for the repair of the tooth. He informed me I had decay on a maxillary lateral incisor put did not probe the tooth as is the actual manner of detection. He informed me he is a laser dentist, whci there is no recognized specialty.
IN fact I then went to a dear freind dentist 45 minutew away and factually there was no decay evident on the lateral incisor. that he misdiagnosed to my dismay, I lost all trust in his professionalism and diagnosis.
We had an argument as I paid the first visit and told him I would be covered by my insurances. He and his staff is argumentative and as a retired dentist I was totally dismayed. I would never recommend a patient to Dr. Burman and find him in my opinion to be a phony and not trustworthy.
I asked to see what he billed my insurance carriers and asked to see the claim forms and they have not been provided to me.
We are currently in small claims court.
I look forward to meeting him in court. I have requested many items for discovery from his office and they have not been provided.
User's recommendation: Find another dentist as a professional. Be very careful ! I am a graduate of University of Pennsylvania school of Dental Medicine and graduated early with honors. I couldn't believe he informed me of decay without probing the lingual decay. This is not acceptable and I also taught dental residents. I would flunk his dental diagnosis abilities. He was a blowhard and a phony in my opinion.
