The leather on the backrest of the chaise section on a $7000 Palliser sectional started peeling after about a year of light to normal use. No other pieces of the sectional are showing similar defects.

Even the seat of the chaise, which gets more wear than the back, is totally fine. Palliser clearly used inferior leather on the back seating surface. But here's the part that makes them an outright despicable company. They will not deal with customers directly and told me to go through the store I purchased it at.

After almost a year of back and forth with the store as a middleman, they said they will not honor my warranty because I purchased a "protection plan" (yeah... that is an actual clause in their warranty that they can exercise). But what I actually bought is an ACCIDENT protection plan and that company will not cover anything because this is clearly a manufacturing defect. So now I'm stuck in a Catch 22 that neither company will cover (also pretty pissed off at R&R Furniture for not disclosing their upsell "protection plan" would void the factory warranty).

We bought this sectional because it had great looks. It certainly isn't comfortable. But now I'm left with an uncomfortable eyesore in my living room that has to be covered in cloth and pillows just to be functional.

I HATE this couch! Never again will any piece of Palliser furniture be in my own home or one of my rental properties.

I purchased for theater chairs from the leather gallery in 2018 for $8000

I have already replaced two inserts at my own cost and now four of my chairs all need repair where the vinyl area is on the chair. We do not have any children or pets in our chairs are in an air-conditioned home.

I have asked the company to please contact me And nobody has gotten back to me. This is terrible customer service!

Fri, Mar 5 at 12:35 PM this is what Palliser sent me. The pics of the sofa are posted in earlier complaint.

How do you "Fluff" up something that's not there and why do I have to do that on brand new furniture? This junk is being returned and I am purchasing new quality furniture."Palliser manufactures each model based on approved specifications. The top pillows and backs of Polluck model are fiber-filled. The fiber is determined by weight to ensure maximum comfortability.

By use, fiber will shift to different directions and will need to be readjusted/fluffed up once in a while. Attached is the PDF that may be useful."Regards,Palliser Furniture Upholstery Ltd.PDF shows how to fluff a fabric cushion---joke!80 Furniture ParkWinnipeg, Manitoba R2G1B9

Palliser Furniture Upholstery Palliser pollock sofa and loveseat purchased 10/11/20 and delivered 1/20/21

Thought palliser was a top end furniture company. Ordered all leather sofa/loveseat (not split) at extra cost, waited 3 1/2 months only to have furniture delivered that looked like it was 15 yrs.

Old. There were 3 inch threads hanging from stitching on pillow arm, almost no padding on seating areas, tops of back cushions look like they're collapsing and nothing like pictured because dealer didn't have this style in stock. After complaining dealer sent repairman to fix loose stitching but said they were unable to add anything to cushions and to call palliser. The pillowtop cushion has a very small amount of fiberfill wrapped in a piece of fabric that looks like a small 3/4 inch pillow-don't know what's in the back cushions.

The only cure was to take cushions to upholstery shop and have high density foam cut and placed in cushions at my expense. Not acceptable after what I paid for the set sent palliser numerous emails with pics-no response. Dealer advised returning the set and looking at other options. One problem-because it was a special order.

There is a 33% cancel fee/no refunds. Not only is this going to be more costly, customer support is non-existent. And by the way-this junk was made in mexico.

Pics included-you be the judge-what's it going to look like in 10 yrs.!! Pics are 1 month old!!
