German film festival

I have had a Palace membership for years ( 2055**** ) and keen Palace film festival attendee here in Byron Bay.

I'm really disappointed with your selection of films for upcoming Byron German festival. Where are the classic Herzog retrospective films that the other cinemas have scheduled?

Why do we get 11 showings of " Andrea gets a divorce" ? , widely popular no doubt

Canne and Venice are already sold out.

Look forward to your response.

Wanting to exchange tickets to Wednesday 10th April at 12.00. Tried ringing cinema direct for over twenty minutes.

No answer. Called Head Office. Told to use email to contact customer service. What customer service?

Its nonexistent. Repeated calls to cinema were cut off.

User's recommendation: The problem is that customer complaints are sent through an automated response so I kept receiving the same response. The Palace Cinema was not answering the phone. The situation could have been resolved within minutes. Instead it took over two hours. Thanks to Misha.

Canberra Palace Cinema Sunday 24 March 2024

Hello I have been a very happy and regular customer of this cinema for many years, however over the past 2 years I have seen a marked decline in the cinema experience. This was demonstrated yesterday evening 24 March 2024.

My friend and I went to see Poor Things Cinema 5 for an 815 session.

We sat in the cinema for 20 minutes before realising that there were no adds or lead up to the movie. It was turned off I went to find a staff member, as did another customer. I found a young man who worked at the bar ,who then checked the computer and saw it was not on. I noted that there were other staff sitting in a corner drinking wine, oblivious that there was a problem, even though it appeared that the young man at the bar was rushed off his feet.

There was no apology about the delay.

I then went to the toilets on my return back to Cinema 5. The toilets were very dirty with paper on the floor no soap and general disarray. I returned to the cinema and the film commenced at around 840pm.

On other occassions I have entered cinemas and there is rubbish such as popcorn etc strewn on the floor.

Since COVID the general experience is now pretty poor and a real disappointment.

This is my first complaint and I don't provide this feedback likely. I am a very big fan of Palace Cinemas but do not feel it provides a unique experience for the price of tickets and park ing.

I hope you find this feedback useful and that I see a return to the great cinematic experience offered by your company pre Covid
