Verified Reviewer |Unresolved billing issue
Do not pay in advance and only pay what your insurance company says you owe.
I returned the following week for my lab results, and my EOB showed I owed $55.75 for that follow-up appointment.
Since then, I have continued receiving bills stating that I owe additional amounts, including $95, and at my most recent appointment I was asked to pay $82.08 before being allowed to see the doctor. I have since received another notice saying I still owe $12.92.
After speaking with my insurance company twice, I was told that I should have only owed the $55.75 and that prepayment for these visits should not have been required. This has created a lot of confusion and frustration, especially since I have been trying to clarify the charges.
I understand billing issues can happen, but I would appreciate more transparency and better communication regarding patient balances. Being asked to pay before appointments while there are unresolved billing discrepancies has made this experience stressful.
I posted this review on Google and the response was to email my information so they could look into it. It has been over a week and they have not responded back to me.
