Verified Reviewer |Scam Company. Vanity Publisher
- - Marketing kickoff not delivered; contact came 8 months later.
- - Requested partial refund for lost value; paid $6700, asked $2500.
I purchased a publishing and marketing package from Page Publishing because it was presented as a way to help promote my book during its launch. Unfortunately, that is not what I experienced. The marketing services included in my package were not provided during my book's launch period, despite the contract stating that the kickoff campaign would begin immediately after distribution of the press release. By the time I was contacted (8 months later) to begin some of these services, the launch window had long since passed.
When I raised my concerns, I explained that my issue was not that the services couldn't eventually be completed; it was that they were no longer being delivered during the time they were intended to provide the greatest benefit. I requested a reasonable partial refund to reflect that lost value rather than delayed performance. (I paid them $6,700.00 and asked for a $2,500.00 refund.)
Page Publishing cited an email sent approximately eight months after my book's launch as evidence that I declined their marketing services. However, that email came from SnowTree Media and did not identify the sender as a representative working on behalf of Page Publishing. Because I regularly receive unsolicited emails offering to 'help with marketing' at my work email address, I reasonably believed it was another solicitation and replied that we, referring to the company I work for, did not need help with our social media. No follow-up email was ever sent explaining who they were or that the message was connected to the marketing package I had purchased.
I was disappointed that this misunderstanding was later used as justification for denying my refund request. If you're considering purchasing one of Page Publishing's higher-priced marketing packages, I encourage you to carefully review the contract, ask detailed questions about delivery timelines, and keep copies of all correspondence. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend their services.

Verified Reviewer |Resolved: After paying the full contract AND extras, there's no book, and the publisher maliciously ensured I can't sell it by denying access to anything except an old draft PDF with errors.
- - Paid over $4,000; project unfinished.
- - Extra renewal fee demanded.
- - Promised items never delivered.
- - Deflection by staff; avoid Page Publishing.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product or service ordered. They finally resumed service. Know your rights.
Page Publishing felt like a scam from start to finish.
I paid over $4,000 and got a never-ending cycle of delays, excuses, and missing deliverables. The process dragged on for more than two years, and then, with the project still not finished, they demanded an extra renewal fee to continue. Thats scam behavior: pay more or we wont deliver what you already paid for. I paid it anyway just to remove their excuse, and it still didnt fix anything.
Scam on top of scam.
What makes this even worse is how many basics I still didnt receive. I never got the printed books that were supposed to come with the package. I didnt get the final, sale-ready ebook files you actually need to sell an ebook in storesjust an old draft-type PDF thats not usable for real distribution. I was promised editable/source files more than once and never received them.
The cover process was never properly completed with a final cover package. The author website/page and promotion help that were part of the pitch never materialized in any meaningful way. Even simple author name/metadata issues werent cleanly and consistently handled across the final materials.
Every time I pushed for what was owed, I got deflection like its in the portal or contact your coordinator instead of them simply delivering the files and finishing the job.
My assistant reached out repeatedly and we still couldnt get it resolved.
Im calling it what it looks like: a scam, or at minimum a scam-like business model built around upsells, stalling, and holding your project hostage. Do not sign with them.
If youve also been scammed by Page Publishing and you already have a lawsuit (or are considering one), reach outthis should be a class-action.

The fact that no one's tried to reach out to me is bothering. It may not be all their fault; it's mine as well.
I would like to try and get a solution made for the occasional issue. Thanks.

- - They never got back to me.
- - Lied from the start and the editing was poor.
- - There is a down payment before you begin and the salesperson misleads.
Never got back to me. They lied from the beginning but their biggest problem was their editing.
Unfortunately its pretty hard to find out how good or bad it is until you sign up with them. Its very bad!
Also theres a down payment before you even begin. The salesperson, the pitcher as I call them, throws you a curveball but you dont see it until its too late.

Verified ReviewerReaction to published book
- - The book portrays Native Americans as maniacs and barbarians.
- - The reviewer is appalled and says editors reinforce stereotypes.
I have just read Gannentaha by Jonathan Anderson published in 2023. Im shocked at the authors portrayal of Native Americans as maniacs, savages, infidels, uncivilized, and barbarians (his words) throughout the book.
As an Onondaga County native, Im appalled that such blatant hate speech should appear in print. Your editors apparently choose to reinforce these damaging stereotypes.
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Don’t buy this horrific book.

Verified ReviewerTerrible. Lies Lies Lies
- - Editing was terrible; errors were missed.
- - Hybrid is marketed as traditional-quality.
- - A paragraph was repeated and a character name was incorrect.
Nothing, haven’t heard back. Im sure they’re gonna try to justify their end but I’mGonna fight as much as I can.
Nothing, haven’t heard back. Im sure they’re gonna try to justify their end but I’mGonna fight as much as I can.
They use the word Hybrid, meaning they charge you but they lie when they say theyre as good & as professional as a Traditional Publishing Service. Nope! Of course its my first book, I have written other genres but they give you a 3 week to 4 week break before they call you. They did NOT read my manuscript, theres no way.
I accidentally used a wrong name for my character & repeated a paragraph ! Oh they tell you they do turn away certain writers so it makes you feel rather self assured, I dont think they turn away anyone, so my vanity went down the toilet ! Another lie! Anyhoo to cut a long story short, the second time the editing was bad too.
Id repeated a paragraph & they missed that, the only way they were helpful was about suggesting I put headings on a couple of chapters which I had missed. When I brought up the editing again she starts quoting some Chicago Guide Of Editing blah blah. I was furious, I said!
I told your sales person my major issue was editing, she told me you were 100 % professional editors which was a blatant lie. I have friends that arent great spellers & they were pointing out mistakes!
User's recommendation: Avoid them at all costs.

Verified ReviewerPage publishing goes out there way for their customers
I have no issues that page publishing couldn't take care of... Customer service handled everything...
User's recommendation: Page publishing goes out of their way for their customers
They rip people off, refusing to give honest $ accountability and they withold all the royalities.....NOW saying after two years my mothers two books only made $28.00 . ALL LIES from my research
- - Alleges Two Heads, Page Turner, and I Universe are the same.
- - Claims a Sept 6 call after mother's death pressured for 80,000 to write screenplays.
VERY GOOD...People are waking up. Whenever you ask for the Two heads..they use the excuse they are about to "Go into a Meeting, and we will call you back." they never do.
PLEASE PLEASE WARN people about PAGE TURNER AND I UNIVERSE...they both appear to be the same.
I called them on 6 SEPT to let them know my mother had passed two days before. THEY then called me back, having me speak to one of their women who tried to pretend she had a childhood like mine and she ended up asking me to give them over 80,000 before the end of the month to write screenplays.
I could hardly believe the coldness and heartlessness. THEN ZANE tried to tell me ( my mothers finance assistant, I was sending PT Money;, Book Editor and manager) that I was "Greedy" I once was married into a Filipino Family, and these people give the culture a really REALLY Bad name.
User's recommendation: PLEASE PLEASE STAY AWAY> GO WITH A BOOK AGENT if You can but DO NOT SELF PUBLISH as these companies PLAY on your EMOTIONS and think they can play on your being $ manipulated.

- - Customer service was not professional.
- - I asked to buy copies, but the agent said it was only for free kits and hung up.
Your customer service is not very professional. I called to ask about placing an order for a book you published for me.
The person that answered the call after asking can she help me, i said i would like to purchase copies of my book. She said this line was just for people wanting to receive their free kit., and hung up the phone.
Which was not very professional. It was a little rude.
