Incompetent testing procedures
- - They over-torqued the low side bleed valve, ruining the seat.
- - Refund not sent; now paying $145 to repair/calibrate; total out-of-pocket $235.
I submitted my Mid-West backflow test gauge for calibration to this firm. When I got it back I found that they over torqued my low side bleed valve, which ruined the seat and valve.
I confronted them, and they said they would refund my fees. To date, they have not sent the said refund. So now I have to go to Bavco and have my gauge repaired and re-calibrated to the tune of $145.00. So now I am out to the tune of $235.00, because of their incompetence/negligence.
I would advise anyone or firm doing business with this firm to re-assess their confidence having them calibrate any instrument.
- Incompetence
Preferred solution: Full refund
