Ripped Off Not Once, Not Twice, but 3 Times

Buyers Beware:

I placed three (3) orders for fishing tackle with Outlet Bait & Tackle and, although they have my money, I have received nothing that I ordered from them. In response to my email inquiries regarding the whereabouts of my first purchase made in early March 2016, I was told in response to each inquiry only that the order had been shipped. In response to email inquiries regarding the whereabouts of my second purchase made in early May 2016, I was told in response to each email inquiry only that the order had been shipped. In response to email inquiries regarding the whereabouts of my third purchase made in early June 2016, I was told in response to each inquiry that they were still working on the order. Well, here it is, the 21st of October, and I have yet to receive any of the merchandise that I ordered.

I have learned in my dealings with Outlet Bait & Tackle that Customer Care is not a consideration in their business dealings. At least in my case, Overstock Customer Care appears to be non-existent.

I am certain that Outlet Bait & Tackle insures its packages for $100 each, and none of my orders amounted to $100. However, they have refused to offer to re-send me the merchandise I ordered or offer to refund the money I paid for the merchandise, and why should they, when time is on their side?

I’ll be 80 years old in December, so knowing that I won’t be around much longer, why should Outlet Bait & Tackle bother with sending me the merchandise that I ordered or refunding my money. They can simply wait on being responsive to any of the complaints that I file. In fact, they told the Better Business Bureau what I have cited above (The orders have been shipped), and that my case was closed. Thus, it is clear that Outlet Bait & Tackle fully intends to keep my money and my merchandise. I think that the legal term for this is Petit Larceny (theft in the fifth degree).

I may not be around much longer. However, I have filed complaints against Outlet Bait & Tackle with the Better Business Bureau, Ripoff Report, and Yelp, and I’ll be around long enough to file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Attorney General, Planet Feedback, spam.uce.gov, Pissed Customer, How to Complain, Facebook, Tweeter, & other social media outlets.

Sincerely,

James R. Rawls
