Verified ReviewerResolved: Purchased a used car from this Auto Nation dealer and they said the "5day guarantee" was not valid.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund.
I returned to the dealer and they said they would refund my deposit. Gave me a paper saying they would do it first thing in the morning, as of this posting the cash is not posted to my bank. Ill update as things progress
I agreed to buy it. The ad for the car clearly says it had a 15 point check and was ready to go with NO ISSUES and is covered by "AutoNation's Guarantee" too.
The carfax check said there was a recall for something on the car, along with some other small issues I found on the test drive. Just a mirror motor, a door window switch, pads on the rear brakes, they agreed to fix all of it WOOHOO huh?. The salesman told me to list those things on what he called a WeOwe (that's a list of things they agreed to fix before I took possession of the car). Then, I go to the money man for the paperwork.
While signing the rapid-fire stream of paperwork for the sale, I was told that the Autonation 5 day-250 mile guarantee would not be honored. Referencing the sticker on the window that by law has to be on used cars that informs the buyer it is AS IS or has a factory warranty. When I ask the Salesman why he didn't understand why the finance manager and then used car manager said they would not honor the AutoNation guarantee. I was not asking for any warranty, just for what their ad said.
I even called AutoNation corporate, and 2 other AutoNation dealers, and all 3 said any AutoNation dealer should honor it. I was very concerned that they, "Mercedes-Benz of Marietta" may know something about the car that they didn't want me to know about, I ask for my deposit back, they said it was a done deal until I got the attention of a GM and he gave me a paper that said they would refund my deposit.
True story ya'll. This place didn't know about my 1.7M views as a Google guide, and they just may feel the pain if enough people get wise to their shenanigans.

At least they said they would refund my deposit,
And they did, If it were not for my due diligence and actions taken
