Change in negotiated pricing

We were dealing with ourisman vw in Laurel Maryland. We offered a down payment of $13500 and monthly payments of 290 per month for 60 months for a new vw beetle SEL convertible. The dealer accepted our offer. Since we lived 400 miles from the dealership, we called more than once to verify the terms. Just before leaving our home, we called one last time and were told that we had promised $14500 as a down payment. Mohammed was the sales person who advised three times that $13500 was good. We had used our credit car $500 to hold the car. We bought the same car from vw in Catonsvile Md. However, Mohammed did charge $32 on our credit card.

I just purchased a car there. It would be well advised to go elsewhere.

There were numerous issues, misrepresentations and falsifications. Rather than work with me to make things right, they had their lawyer send me a nasty three page letter. I've read a number of reviews that say Ourisman Volkswagen of Laurel, Maryland is easy to deal with until they get your money, then it becomes a nightmare.

I can independently confirm that this is true. The General Manager, Isaac Chee, makes terrible business decisions and should simply never, ever be in a customer facing role in any organization.
