Our City Gogo

Myself along with many others got sucked in, time and effort of people to review music and write articles daily in a genuine passion for helping raise awareness of indie bands. Many bands submitted music, where did it all go?

Lost in a big black hole. The online radio station never happened due to more and more excuses regarding 'delays' due to the pyramid structure. And instead article writing was pushed on the new 'gogo' site, reviews of music and bands, write ups of band interviews. Of course these articles were paid per click with advertising, but all the hard working people submitting the articles who actually cared about the music scene never received a penny, so where did the money go?

To the top of the pyramid of course. Nothing new there I guess... And the most annoying thing? Far worse than receiving no money?

That the our city radio site ceased to exist so all articles on there which were supposed to be moved over to the new gogo site were lost, articles including live music reviews which bands used to promote themselves and no longer could. I'm sure if the people at the top of this REALLY cared about the music scene they would have not allowed this to happen.

Our City Radio (ourcityradio.com) who recently changed their name to Our City GoGo (ourcitygogo.com) started an Indigogo Campaign (indiegogo.com/projects/our-city-radio-supports-indie-bands-local-communities-worldwide) stating that they support local bands and business.

They offered incentives for donating like any other Indigogo Campaign.

What makes the company owned by Maxx Fairo (google him and his other scams like MBD Marketing Group or google his partner Doug Safriet) different from others who started Indigogo Campaigns is that after the campaign ended, they changed their name from Our City Radio to Our City GoGo (a rip off on the Indigogo name obviously)and Our City Radio disappeared.

They never delivered the incentives promised.

Notice the date Our City GoGo was bought. The same time the campain was ongoing. They had no intention to ever pay out their incentives.

Money was never refunded after the incentives were not delivered.

Money was donated via Paypal. As anybody knows, when one donates through Paypal the billing address, name and phone number is on the receipt. When the owner of the company, Maxx Fairo was confronted regarding the scam and stealing money, he replied that he didn't know the address or email address to contact the individuals regarding incentives. The problem with his lie is that all the information was given to him via Paypal at the time of receiving payment. He has no problems using the money. Just has difficulty seeing where it came from

Stay away from these people who state they want to 'help' Indie Bands. Helping is not by ripping Indie Bands out of their money.

By the way. Where did the money go since it was to help build Our City Radio and there is no Our City Radio?

Hundreds of hours put in. Never received a dime. Lots of rah rah calls. This is a pyramid scheme. Our City Radio failed and was taken down to make way for Our City GoGo (rip off name of Indigogo). People worked a year for free and were basically let go unless they paid for the Go Go station, had to go through a interview process and jump through hoops.

Investers put lots of money into this. My question is, where did the money go?

Be warned of Maxx Fairo. He is a scam artist. These scam artists were also the force behind the Downline Marketing and Ready Built Downline Scam.

That is when they were called Our City Radio (but changed the name to be similar to Indigogo to Our City GoGo.)

I paid for my band and they never delivered the services they promised for donating.

Our City Radio (now Our City GoGo) had all workers work for free for a year. Promising us payment and they never paid. Maxx Fairo, the *** artist in charge of the service would tell us how much money we were going to make and it never came about. Not one penny.

Do not get sucked in by the words of Maxx Fairo, Doug Sefreit, Roger Garth or anyone involved with Our City Gogo and MBD Marketing group. They will sell you the world and never pay you a dime.

Lots of investors gave Maxx hundreds of thousands of dollars and he rercuited hundreds of 1099 employee/volunteers to build his network. We were told that if we did these content additions to the websites that traffic would pay us. We all did the work. Some managers worked for them over a year and saw 0 pay from it.

We were told after we got the traffic up to where we were supposed to that all of a sudden, they had no way to track the site traffic and therefore no one could get paid.

The money is going in and right to Maxx' pockets. The investors and partners are pissed and are filing complaints with the FBI. These scam artists were also the force behind the Downline Marketing and Ready Built Downline Scam.

Google it and you will see. Stay away from anything related to these people .

I worked for Our City Radio (now Our City Gogo) for almost a year. They kept telling us that we were going to get paid for the work that we put into our radio station and we never did. They held a contest stating there would be cash prizes to whoever built up their radio stations the best and they never paid.

Every Monday night they would have a ra ra call telling us how great we were and how much money we were going to make. It was like a cult.

Then Our City Radio disappeared. They removed it from online. All those months worth of work GONE. The Our City GoGo appeared (a rip of of IndiGoGo). All of a sudden we had to take tests and what not to keep the positions we were working FOR FREE. If a station manager wanted to keep the station they were working FOR FREE they had to spend thousands of dollars. Soon everybody left the company. Why? It is a scam. Stay far far away. You will NEVER make any money.

I have been working for them for more than 4 months. I never saw a dime.

No one did. Be aware of this bunch of people. They will try to tell you how good is this, but the more time you are working for them, the more time they are making money. They say is a proved system, but no one has proved that.

They say they have 4,5 million listeners, they have none.

Be very careful. They tried another scam with RBD(Ready Built Downline), but FBI stopped them, so they tried with this new Ourcityradio "proved" scam.I have lost money, time and my reputation has been damaged.

I had a similar bad experience to many here as I too got sucked into nothing but promises saying I will be paid and I worked so many months earning nothing yet I paid so much into investing in this so called business that turned out to be a scam yet to still be owed money of hard work earnings so please don't fall for the lies and promises. they also encourage and involve lots of spamming which on its own will annoy people especially on facebook and twitter when making the same posts so many times in a day
