Missed paper deliveries

I have yet to receive the Sunday OC Register that I was charged for a month ago. Every week when I call their customer service they apologize and promise the paper would be here Sunday.

Account name: Hike Pollem Address: 224 Avenida Majorca, Unit B, Laguna Woods, CA 92637 Three weeks ago, I called to resume our subscription to the Laguna Woods Globe. We have yet to receive the paper. I have called twice, been kept on hold 15+ minutes each time, and been told the paper would be delivered. Since we didn't receive the Saturday edition of the Register this weekend, I need to confirm that we will receive the Globe on Thursday! I TOLD THEM ON JAN. 23RD TO CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION!

AFTER WAITING ON HOLD FOR ALMOST 45 MINUTES & WAITING OVER 30 MINUTES THE 2ND ATTEMPT & LISTENING OVER & OVER TO THE ANNOUNCEMENT STATING I COULD GO ONLINE TO MANAGE MY SUBSCRIPTION WHICH IS FALSE IF YOU WANT TO CANCEL, I FINALLY GOT THROUGH TO "SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES". WHEN I EXPLAINED THAT I WANTED TO CANCEL, OF COURSE THE AGENT TRIED TO GET ME TO CONTINUE MY SUBSCRIPTION BY OFFERING A 25% DISCOUNT.

WHEN I SAID "NO, I WANT TO CANCEL", HE SAID "OH, I HAVE TO TRANSFER YOUR CALL TO THE CANCELLATION DEPT"!

OF COURSE, THIS WAS JUST ANOTHER ATTEMPT TO GET ME TO HANG UP THE PHONE IN FRUSTRATION. I WAITED AT LEAST 10 MINUTES & FINALLY GOT ANOTHER GUY WHO OFFERED ME A 50% DISCOUNT. WHEN I REPEATED "NO, I WANT TO CANCEL", HE SAID "OK, YOUR SUBSCRIPTION WILL BE CANCELLED AT THE END OF YOUR CURRENT DATE OF JANUARY 30, 2023". FINE & GOOD & DONE.

TODAY [JAN.

28TH], GUESS WHAT I SEE ON MY VISA CARD; A NEW CHARGE OF $79.15 FOR THE NEXT SUBSCRIPTION TERM.

YOUR ATTEMPT TO KEEP ME AS A CUSTOMER HAS FAILED --- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION #17022**** AND SEND ME A CONFIRMATION. Unresolved issue with no delivery today.

Our paper was not delivered today. Customer service representative told us the computer system at the Register is being updated so to call back later today. He couldnt retrieve my account info. No resolution!

Not been receiving my on-line newspaper for some time now. When I noticed a charge on my bank statement I called the Customer Service number and I was told that I was supposed to go into the website.

I am being charged for something I did not get.

In the past I had been receiving my Register Newspaper in my email, which the Register has on file. I have not received my on-line edition for some time.

Today when checking my bank account iI see I am being charged for something I am not getting. When I called customer service they told me I was supposed to go to the Web to do something to ask for the Register to go back on line, I am 80 years old and I do not understand what is going on. How was I supposed to know? I have called the Register and asked them to remove the charges for the last months, at least two or three.

They said they were trying to protect me from being on the web. What is going on. I refuse to pay for being protected. This seems like a scam to me.

Very unhappyBe careful in dealing with the Orange County Register. /seems like they are scamming the elderly?

The person delivering my paper continues to throw the paper on the lawn I dont know how many times I have complained about this issue but it never seems to get resolved more than one possibly two days. What seems to be your problem? Youre not listening! Or hes not listening! Someone He doesnt seem to care.
