Threatening to submit my account to a licensed collection agent
I was charged $40.00 which was part of my diagnostic test and procedures which has a zero co-payment. I called my cardio office and also someone from Magan Medical Clinic where I had my cardio testing done.
I was told it was coded in error, and they will fixed it. I had called and talked to several people from Optum billing and yet their bill keep coming, the latest was a letter threatening to send my account to a licensed collection agent.
Not wanting to ruin my credit I had no choice but to pay it. They have no mercy to a senior citizen like me with a weak heart and only source of income is my social security retirement.
