Optical H - Failed to deliver chain as part of sunglasses, delivered a full month late
"I placed an order with this vendor on September 4th. On their website they indicated they would have to await stock from the manufacturer, and that delivery would take up to 10-20 business days. On September 17th, the item was received by the vendor. For some reason, they did not ship until 10/17, nearly a month later, and it was received on 10/27. Per my email: "I placed an order on September 4th. If stock was not available until September 17th, excluding weekends and public holidays, it should have been delivered by October 16th. Instead, you did not even ship it until October 17th, and it did not arrive until October 27th. I think your math is significantly lacking if you think there is only one month between September 4th and October 27th. This is what leads me to believe you are not even attempting to be an honest vendor. That is clearly almost 2 months when originally it was quoted as taking 15 to 20 BUSINESS DAYS excluding weekends (even though the postal service still works on saturday) and holidays." This alone would not be bothersome- things happen- but my sunglasses (Chanel Pantos sunglasses which come with a chain, priced accordingly and photographed as such on the website) came without the chain. I reached out to ask if this was forthcoming separately, and they indicated "they already checked and it was shipped out" and advised me to inspect further. I kept the original box, and everything inside, and am certain it was not included. Instead of working with me, they accused me of being dishonest and lying about not receiving the chain. I offered to show photograph proof of every scrap of paper and the box, but they refused- it's clear they had zero intention of working with me. When I then also brought up the late shipment, they said "we decided it was within the shipment window, it was only over a month. September 4th to October 27th is not one month. It is far, far closer to 2. Their response, from "Sarah": "Good morning, yesterday I told you that in our records it is confirmed that your glasses came with a single gold chain, which is the one that corresponds to the type of glasses you bought, so we are 100% sure that we sent them with it. We also apologise for the delay in shipping your order, and would like to inform you that it took a little over a month for your order to reach you from the time you made your purchase. You placed your order on the 4th of September and it arrived on the 25th of October. Our company policy states: "When the product is listed as "PRODUCT AVAILABLE FOR ORDER", we'll have to order it from the manufacturer. In such cases, the estimated delivery time is between 15 and 20 working days (not including weekends or holidays)", so your shipment is within the estimated delivery time." ^^^ this is just mathematically incorrect, unless you think September 4th and October 27th are 1 month apart.
