I went to Open Road Honda to purchase a new key for my 2019 Honda CRV. Adam Arnault from the Service Department was a great help in having a new key cut and programmed for me in an expeditious manner.
I was able to leave in about 90 minutes.

Verified Reviewer | Edison, New JerseyHorrible car service experience
I've been bringing my car Open Road Honda service in Edison since I bought the car back in 2008. Their service used to be pretty good, and because they have factory trained mechanics who are familiar with the vehicles it gives you a feeling of comfort.
But this last time I've had the worst experience ever dealing with any car repair in my entire life. I dropped the car on 4/18 for an oil change the Service Advisor Mira called me and said the brakes were low and suggested that they also work on the suspension. She said they can return the suspension back to normal. I agree and pick up the car when it's done and notice now the car is pulling to the left whenever I brake.
I bring it back to service and they said they will tighten the suspension a bit more and it should be good. I drive off again, and immediately notice problem is still there. I texted Mira and she called me back and said she will have to charge me a diagnostic fee to see why the car is suddenly pulling to the left. I'm somewhat confused by all of this and asked why you are charging a diagnostics fee when this problem wasn't there when I dropped my car off and you just fixed the suspension.
Her response was I don't know if the car was doing that before, because she didn't drive the car. I asked to speak to the manager Kyle and had to leave several voice messages. He finally called me back and said the earliest they can look at the car again (3rd time) was Monday May 1st. I got the impression there was a more experienced tech who was returning on that day, so he wanted him to look at it.
I dropped the car off the night before and the next day another service advisor Donna, called me and said the outer Tie Rod was damaged and had to be replaced. I obviously question how could tie rod be damaged when they just fixed the suspension. She didn't know. Once again, I called Kyle.
Kyle called me back and asked if Mira told me anything else about the car when I initially picked it up the first time.
She didn't mention anything. He said Mira should have mentioned the brake cable was damaged. Again, I question how the brake cable could get damaged after I dropped the car off for repair. He says valet guys might've done it while using the emergency brake.
I suspect the tech obviously damaged the brake cable while he was working on the car or maybe they put a damaged broken brake cable from another vehicle, who knows . The fact that neither service advisor mentioned it during the 1st, 2nd or 3rd visit mean they were obviously hiding something.
Well, a new brake cable was on back order, and almost impossible to get.
It took several more days for them to find a used one from a nearby junkyard. Needless to say, I won't be returning to this Open Road Honda in Edison at all and will try my luck elsewhere.

OPEN ROAD HONDA sales Representative sucks
We went to the showroom with an appointment to look for a new civic and Honda Accord for a friend and there came the sales representative, Andy Zhang. He asked which car were we looking for and we told him we are yet to decide but we are interested in the new civic.
He told us about the price and trust me just the price and not the variations available in the model. When we asked for variations, the only question he asked was do you want turbo engine? Sure, every Tom *** and Harry knows what's the difference between a turbo engine and a regular one? Isn't it the duty of the representative to tell the customer what's the difference and how to go about it ????
And then we asked if we can see the car and he said its outside. He escorted us out and showed the parked car, without getting the cars key. Forget about the test drive, Did he expect us to just look at the exterior and not the interior? And we again asked if we can see the interior and text drive the vehicle once and then he headed inside to get the keys.
All he did was instructing the one test driving to turn left or right and he spoke nothing about the car's featured at all. Once we headed inside and asked him for the price quote, he took a minute and on a piece of paper he wrote ex = sensing = $22875. And nothing else. We asked him if we could get a quote for Honda Accord too and in a really loud voice he said "sir, you first need to decide on which one,".
We totally lost it then, i just said you can't tell us to decide on a vehicle le when we are here looking for our options. That's no way a sales representative e gets to behave with the customers who come by to see a car. Honda is supposed to have really good representatives around but I don't know how we came across Andy Zhang at Open Road Honda, Edison NJ.
This has been my worst experience ever and I'm gonna tell everyone I know about my experience. Sorry Mr.Zhang but you disappointed us to to the core.
Open Road Honda Repair Service Review from Jersey City, New Jersey
I told always my steering wheel is vibrating/shaky when I apply break.. The service agent Mira told exactly these words "if u live near water body or drive in water it is bound to happen.
It is not safety concern." I was speechless...and when i question more..then she tried to counter by saying my appointment didn't say anything about steering wheel complain so she can't look.. then the other guy told they gave 2 different systems and not in sync... what a waste place.
. Better goto to somewhere else

Sales or Service Both Sucks at Open Road Honda Edison, NJ
The worst dealership in the tri state area.
SOLD ME NEW CAR WITH SCRATCHES AND WILL NOT WARRANTY PARTS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED! SERVICE MANAGERS SUCKS THEY SLEEP ON THEIR DESKS!!!
Buy a car only if you get a great deal. As for service, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SERVICE YOUR VEHICLE AT THIS DEALER. The employees are rude in person and over the phone. They lack no customer service skills and little do they recognize that without customers they will be out of a job.
My first experience was a tire rotation that was never performed, but was billed.
When you call service department, the probability that the advisor may hang up on you is 80%. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!
Preferred solution: Full refund
Fraud dealership stay away
Had the car for a year and engine went. At time of purchase I was told car had 5 years ...
80,000 mile warrenty and had a manufacture warrenty with it. Now that the engine has gone I called dodge and apparently the car had a 3 year 36,000 mile warrenty and at the time that I purchase the car their was no warrenty with the car. So now I gotta take them to court and my lawyer told me they pretty much committed warrenty fraud... They posted the warrenty details and told me it had a warrenty just to sell the car....
So now I'm gotta take them to court just to get his taken care of.... Don't trust them STAY AWAY from dealer...
Open Road Honda sucks.
I purchases a 2012 Honda accord from Honda April 9th. Complaint number 1 We were told upon picking up the car that we needed the title from our Honda trade in or we couldn't have the car.
Bono the Honda salesman never mentioned it to us when we said down a week previously . We had to go back to Staten island and get the title the same day. Number two complaint i received a call today from open Road Honda telling me they needed a lien release on the old car. They should have told us when we sat down with financing.
So here it is Friday afternoon 4 pm. We cant e mail it to them because it has to be an original because it had to be notarized. I have a temp sticker on my car that expires Friday. I have no registration .
Could they wait any longer? Motor vehicle ( on Staten island is suppose to fax it over to them by Monday and then they will overnight it to us. To all who are reading this nobody rushes to assist anyone on Friday afternoon.. She told me we should get it by( send to us by Thursday).
I am a realist this is never going to happen. I will not be able to drive my new car till this gets remedied . I wish I never dealt with them . They are so *** etc.
They just want to make a deal because at the end of the month they are awarded a bonus from Honda for every cat they sell.
They are such ***------to make the story better the girl who dealt with me and the situation is going out on maturity leave today at 5pm. to all who read this dont buy a car from open Road Honda in Edison , New Jersey you will be sorry like I am
Open Road Honda Of Edison, NJ
In June 2010 I went to open road Honda in Edison, NJ to get a wheel alignment, oil change tire rotation totaling $130.00. I dealt with a service advisor by the name of DANNY DOCARMO.
He was very helpful and had me convinced I was in good hand until something went wrong his true colors of unprofessionalism and ignorance came through. After I paid for the work I went to the valet service to pick up my car and I noticed OIL FINGER PRINT MARKS ALL OVER MY PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE SEATS ALONG WITH MARKINGS ON MY SUADE DOOR HANDLE. Prior to coming in for service my car was immaculate so I expected my car to be returned in the same condition, unfortunately it was not. When I confronted Danny about the issue he immediately became defensive and said that it wasn't anything his mechanics did.
I showed him the marks that were clearly done by his "PROFESSSIONAL MECHANICS" and he continued to deny it and implying that I was lying and that the marks were there already. He went as far to say, "There is nothing I could do!" and threw his arms down and WALKED AWAY! When I did try to talk to him he continued to dismiss me as if I THE CUSTOMER meant nothing. I was beside myself and asked to speak to manager who instructed the valet employee to bring it around to the car wash in an attempt to clean it.
During the cleaning of the oil marks Danny (incompetent service advisor) went as far as bringing the bring the mechanic to me and asked me if I saw any oil stains on his clothes??!! I replied that the markings are smeared fingerprints, nothing to do with his clothes. In short that problem was rectified because of the valet employee washing out the marks. But the service and treatment that I received that day was unlike any other.
I was disrespected to say the least. DANNY DOCARMO WAS UNPROFESSIOANL AND I RECCOMEND HIM TO NO ONE. A person like DANNY DOCARMO should not be in customer service field, he knew he was at fault and didn't want to admit it.
The issue was no longer about the careless, messy finger print, markings it was about the disrespect and poor service I received that day! This issue will be taken to corporate.
