Opelousas General Health System

Orthapedic office of opelousas ...they fail to give reciepts have to ask i had phone call to ask if i had paid or not...get a reciept before you leave. I have short and long tetm disability.. my insurance sent that office the form to be filled out so my job knows whats going on and so i could recieve my funds ...that paper sat in their office in a box like rolladex i done my presurgery visit i paid for that visit and i asked if my insurance ever sent them paperwork for my absence and disability...when she said let me look i knew my answer and when she said itll cost me $20.00 cash for them to fill out the paper and then said itll take 3 to 7 days to send it in was a complete insult ...i pay hundreds of dollars for insurance a month and she is holding up a persons life until i pay it ......today i get paper in the mail from my employer and insurance nothing was sent in (only been 4 days)..now i have to hand deliver paperwork and have them fill it out ..after calling orthapedic office i was givin the its my responsibility not theirs to tell them that they have paperwork to be filled out slong with paying 20.00 to fill it out not there problem ......if i bring more paperwork itll cost me 20.00 each time .........what a joke this system is ....it is a complete joke
