Ontheweb.com - Bad service, shadey company

On August 24th, 2010 I purchased 4 sets of dishes costing over $200 total. It is now Sept 27th and I have still not received my items. I've called several times to get tracking status and their customer support group are a bunch of grumpy and not helpful women. Based on their shipping policy, I should have been able to call and cancel my order after the 4 week delay. However today when I called to get an update, I was told that it is in transit to their warehouse. I asked for PROOF of the intransit and they can not provide it. So, now I am being held hostage and in the meantime still eating on paper plates. I will never buy anything from them again - long lead times and poor service and frankly the whole business looks shadey.

Terrible refund policy and even worse customer service!

I purchased a globe for my son's ceiling fan in his bedroom. The globe was junk! I called onthewebstores and a supervisor told me to have FedEx pick up the globe and refuse delivery. I did exactly this, and was later refunded 14.00 of my 44.00 purchase! When I called the company, they were rude and unhelpful. I was given the run-around and have still not received my refund. This is ridiculous! No one will return my calls. This is a joke of a company. I could have flushed the money down the toilet and made better use of it!
