Verified Reviewer |Confusing misprint on product and difficulty contacting
When I checked out some of the Oni Press Scott Pilgrim books from my nearby library, one of them had a large three on the front. I checked to see if it was a sticker, but it was printed on the cover just like the rest of the design.
This led me to believe that I had gotten the first three books in the series. However, when I started reading this particular book, there were big gaps between the plot of the previous one I had read and this one. I checked the inner cover, and it said this was a combination of the fifth and sixth books. This was very confusing.
I'm not asking for someone to tell me I should have checked more thoroughly. That's not the point. I'm just wondering why the three would be printed there in the first place. When I tried to reach out about this, I initially couldn't find a phone number to call, and none of the email categories aligned with this issue.
I looked up the headquarters and found a phone number from Google, but upon calling, I was not able to connect. This website has the same phone number linked, but it still didn't work.
I also tried to call using someone else's phone, to no avail, so I know it's not a problem with my phone or number. In addition to my question about the possible misprint, I'm wondering why this number is associated with Oni Press if one is unable to use it to contact them.

You are right. You “checking more thoroughly” is not the point. What is the point is why are you making all this noise about a library book that was free to check out.
