Held my things hostage
Where to begin with this company. Well I would like to start off by saying that this is the worst company I have ever dealt with and their business practices are truly unethical. If there was an option for negative stars I would clearly give them negatives stars. Well my experience starts off by a lady by the name of Linda who called me on Feb. 21st, 2011 to ask if I required moving service. After a couple of days I decided I'd give them a chance and was given a quote of $195. I signed the quote on Feb. 23rd that she had E-mailed to me detailing what they were going to offer to me for the amount of $195 to move my things on Feb. 26th from a 1 bedroom apartment to my new 2 bedroom apartment. Once I signed the quote and faxed it to her she called me back and stated that it was required that I sign a finalize document. I waited for 2 days without any reply from her and I phone her 3 times asking her for the final quote. So on Feb 25th I told her that I would not be requiring her service and she me that I could not cancel and that I would be charged a $100 deposit regardless if I was to go through with the service. At this point my head was about to explode from the continuous argument that I was having. I was really upset to say the least and explained the whole thing to my wife. She thought I was exaggerating and decided to call on Feb 26th to patch things up. She then had an argument with the manager and they told her the exact same thing that I was told. That we are going to have to pay the $100. My wife buckled and decided to rebook with them given that we were going to lose a $100. So we book for the following day Feb 27th at 8AM in the morning. The mover arrived late at 8:45 and did not start working until 9:15. They worked like snails. After 2 hours of work, they managed to move 1 bed w/o frame, 1 frig, 1 couch, 2 book shelves, and a few boxes. I was extremely upset because I was paying to move such little furniture. I had asked them to move my TV stand and they told me it would be an additional $75 because it had glass. They wanted to charge an additional for everything. I decline the service at that point and demanded they start driving to my new apartment. When I got to the new apartment the mover was on the phone for 20 mins inside the truck making another appointment. After he gets out of the truck he takes me in to my new apartment and demand that I pay him $300. I told him that I only agreed to $195 that Linda quoted me and not the $300 he requested. He informed me that he will hold my belongings as hostage if I did not sign the paperwork to give him the $300 dollars.

They are Bait and Switchers
They were an hour late, and then overcharged me for a bunch of things they never told me about or put in my quote. Such as, they worked 8 hours, but tried to say they had 1 1/2 overtime, they charged for wrapping my mattresses, and I had to pay for their tape they use to wrap their FREE pads, and also a 15% fuel charge on LABOR?? But their quote includes tax and mileage, mileage is for fuel. They have you at their mercy because they won't unload until you pay. What choice do you have? Tried to get a credit back and he offered nowhere close to what I was overcharged. and to get my money back I had to sign a form that I won't report them to the BBB. Ha!! Right! Idiots!!

1 mover depot - a deaf mute chimp with a metal spike through its head could deliver better service
I will begin by saying when the moving crew finally showed up they were fast and professional (thanks *** and Shaun). All of my issues stem from the dispatcher/manager Eli. We reserved an early moving time for 9am on a saturday. I receive a message from Eli saying he is calling to confirm our move. I returned his call after 6pm but the office was closed. I received another call from Eli the following day saying that they have closed the schedule for saturday and the crew will be coming from 12-1pm instead of the agreed upon 9am. Having no other option I agree to having them show up between 12-1pm. This rescheduling caused some serious problems with the rest of my day but I wont go into detail. On moving day I call Eli by 1:05pm to ask where my moving crew is. He tells me the will call me in 30min with an ETA. I call Eli at 1:45 to tell him that i have not heard from his crew yet. He tells me to call them directly. I find out that the crew is still 45 minutes away and not finished with their last job. I call Eli and tell him that I would rather find another mover and he proceed to yell the following things at me: 1. No other moving will come to you in 40 minutes. "We move hundreds...no thousands of people every year" (i doubt it) 2. If we cancel now he will still bill us the $100 non-refundable deposit (um you were 3 hours late mother *** you failed to deliver services based on the timeline YOU stated) 3. (yelling at the top of his voice) DOn't Push me!!! Don't push me!!!(this is a phone conversation so please dont mistake any physical violence is happening) 4. Call my office on Monday I am with my family, then hangs up. Now my understanding is that if a company cannot provide a service at the time specified it is a breach of contract. Rather than accept that he could not deliver services under the agreed upon timeline and try to RECTIFY the situation he yells at his customers and holds them hostage because he has their credit card number. Reluctantly I let the moving crew show up 3 hours after the time quoted by Eli. I have not found one legitate positive review of onemoverdepot online. Save yourself the headache and find some other moving service. Do not use one mover depot. A deaf-must chimpanzee with a metal spike throught its head could deliver better customer service than Eli. I will be posting this review to as many sites related to moving as possible to stop people from using one mover depot in Gardena, Ca. I hope this helps someone else avoid the same mistake. I only hope that I do not run into the same "creative" after the fact billing charges that other people have experienced.

One Mover Depot held me hostage
They made me sign the contract in the morning. Then when we arrived at the location Eyal Segacovichi bumped the price up almost $500.00 After some discussion he then said "Shut the F@#* up, pay the money or I will close the truck and Im taking all your stuff". Please never use this company. And to boot the guy I set it up with Amos was a total liar too. He quoted around $400.00 and no overtime just a standard per hour rate... Terrible company. Terrible... In addition, the two guys working with him, came to me when he walked outside and said they always do this.

One Mover Depot are Fakers and Unproffesional
I hired One MOver Depot Located in Gardena. They were very pleasant and eager yo get my biz. However, I called the company a week beofre the day of the move. They booked me and wanted a deposit so i gave them deposit for the amount of $100.00. Two days after booking, the rep called and cancelled the time for Saturday. She moved it from 8 am to noon. I didnt have a choice. I agreed. Friday came, rep called me again (this time differnt rep) said, they cant move my stuff on sat so they had to move it on SUnday. i was a little frustrated cuz It was too late for me to cancel this booking as Moving comopany requires few days to reserve. No choice, I said OK in very upset voice and I begged them to please move my stuff. So, that same day on Friday, they said they needed to move the time slot on Sunday from 8 am to noon. This time I was getting angry. I told them, this is too late but i didnt have a choice cuz my stuff needed to be moved to the new house as my apartment has a deadline to move all my stuff that weekend and I had to go to work on Monday. Sunday came, they didnt come at noon. I waited and called no phone calls. 3 pm comes and I am getting worried. I was crying. i called again and luckily, I got one of the reps cell phone number and called her. She said she doesnt know any clue why movers arent there yet. So I waited and now, ic alled them back to tell me that their truck is broken. Now its late, I am frustrated,i am very angry. The movers came in after 6 pm. they were in a rush! It was getting dark and they were tossing all my furniture around so quickly that few stuff had broken. One of them was my $800.00 dresser that I just bought t2 months old called Schnadig. The edge was crazked open! i was so angry. I cried. TO make the story short, I am in chase with them. They are giving me run arounds. i called owner and he was very disrespectful and rude. he's name is Eli, he is the owner. I called Reps and they said they dont what else is going on as they passed on my claims to their insurance. Their insurance is another story---I emailed their contact by email and by phone BUT UNTIL to this day--I have not receievd any phone calls. The reps and teir owner in One mover depot always gives me no follow ups and the staff are always saying the owner is not around. i dont know what else to do. i am so frustrated. My dresser costs more than the fee of moving itself. I paid almost $400.00 for the move. i didnt have a choice but to pay them. I need help to get this resolve and PLEASE, do not make the same mistake as I did. Get a reliable Moving company. It doesnt matter if they are expensive just make sure that hey are well known. they have respect and with the industry for a long time. Also, make sure you get referneces for credentials. This One Mover Depto in Gardena should not make any bsuiness at all. Oh and did I mention that their movers DOESNT speak no english? I kid you not, these guys are a bunch of clowns! They took my furnitures like they were some pieces of ***!! My PC monitor fell on the floor because of one of the guy was in a hurry to move that he knocked down my Monitor!. . Rachel
