To whom it may concern,
This letter was sent to inform you of our unfortunate experience with OmniMD.
Our company tried to work with OmniMD during the closure of our office and they quickly became exceedingly difficult to work with and clearly have no interest in working with their customers.
At the time this was going on, we as a medical company were entitled to one set of our medical records for free, but they would not release them to us. They demanded we pay $5,000 for the set of records.
Even after proving our rights to the one free copy, they still held the records for ransom, saying they would still not release them unless we paid. Since we were on a short timeline and were concerned about our patients having access to their records, we paid without immediately seeking legal action, even though OmniMD was being entirely disrespectful, unethical, and unreasonable.
Our contact, Sam Cook, was disrespectful to our staff and would only help as minimally as possible even after our company paid them in full for the records. They even threatened to destroy the records on their end before we could even verify that we had received them all.
We would warn everyone to choose a different EMR system. They have horrible phone and customer service skills, are not much help when you have a problem, and their program is designed terribly and not user friendly.
This is why we switched from their company in the first place.
