I need batteries and pic xd card
I need to order batteries and xd picture cards. I want to know how I can get them shipped to me. I need them before the end of the month
Non-existent customer service
y clients are a Solicitors office and they use Olympus recorders and software to dictate and transcript the Solicitors notes. Olympus documentation is very poor in the module required to transcript or dictate.
So they purchased the wrong module lic.
and when we tried to get this resolved after weeks of speaking to customer support and sales, it was a waste of time and effort to be told that they cannot do anything for us and we need to purchase new (more lic's). Extremely poor service, will never purchase or recommend Olympus to any clients.

New OM1 failure after one week
After a nearly two month wait for the new OM1 I was just learning it when it completely died. Completely dead.
My other two Em1 MKll bodies both had rear thumb wheels malfunction. The flash does not work on all three reliably.
Not at all on one. Several videos later I still cant get them to work reliably.
I sent my $2100.00 OM1 in for repair and was told it might take up to 8 weeks to replace.
Im considering dumping 4 lenses and bodies.
Preferred solution: Sony

Medical Equipment for Olympus
If you purchase medical equipment, avoid Olympus. Their new global policy is they do not sell ANY parts for repair-everything has to be sent into their depot for an inflated price repair. They will not tell you this during their sales pitch.
Also, they will only recommend glutaraldehyde or EtO for sterilizing their equipment (oh, amazing, they just happen to sell a machine that uses glutaraldehyde). Again, they will not tell you this during a sales pitch but then you're stuck once you buy their products.
I would avoid Olympus with a ten foot pole. They are going to cause extreme loss, down the road, for repairs or for proper maintenance of your equipment. If you don't mind the inflated cost of EtO sterilization, or the increased harm of vapors of glutaraldehyde to your staff-go ahead and buy Olympus.
But, if cost control is your concern, Olympus is only going to cost you. And people who wonder why health care is so costly, look no further than Olympus. They are only concerned with their annual returns, not savings.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution
Olympus Fails at Repairs/Customer Service
A month ago, I found a notification concerning my old Olympus C5050 purchased back in 2006. The screen stopped displaying any image, and the camera would not take pictures. This happened a week after the warranty expired. I contacted Olympus, they said they would not warranty it. I was SOL and depressed after spending in excess of $300 for a digital camera. I threw this camera in a box in hopes of repairing it myself and just found it a couple days ago. This notification was for a "known" issue that would have been repaired if I would have gotten a hold of a CSR that knew what they were talking about.
So I dug out my old camera from the depths of my closet and contacted them a couple weeks back to see if they could repair/replace it.I was excited that they were still accepting this issue to their repair department, I thought it was Awesome they were standing behind their product! I chalked it up to a terrible product when it died, vowed to never buy Olympus again(Which I haven't).
Olympus failed to provide a service number (which you need to check the status on their website) and never notified me of the receipt of the item. I finally figure out a way to check the status and saw their spiel about not being able to repair it, and how they recommend a replacement at a "DISCOUNT", which I expected . The item they offered me was a SP-610UZ, and their discount? They tried to sell it to me for $182 and change! I can get it cheaper from their retailers at that price! I could sell the thing for parts and get an even better deal!
WTF Olympus!?
I decided I would give you the chance to win me back as an Olympus customer and you failed. How is the offer you provided an incentive to purchase from you Olympus? I was hoping that you were going to say, here is a $100 credit to whatever you would like to purchase off our website(choose from new to refurbished)[would have ordered a refurbished e-420 which would have been $$ in the bank for you]. At least with something like that I would feel like I was being taken care of. Even when I contacted you about my disgust of this supposed discount, you said "Thank you for contacting Olympus.." blah blah blah and made no attempt at resolving the issue. That is your problem not mine anymore.
The only thing that was good about this Olympus repair is the shipping which they fully reimburse you for( $0 for shipping out of my pocket, Thank god I didn't I have to pay more for this POS camera ). And of course the lady I talked to was real nice, but this was on Monday the 5th when they received my camera.
Long story short. Olympus, you ALMOST gained back a customer that you lost because of one of your past lemons, but bitterly FAILED when it came to deliver. This leaves you without ANOTHER customer and me with, well another Olympus Lemon.
Olympus Cameras false advertising no parts.
OLYMPUS CAMERA COMPLAINT
After researching water proof cameras I bought the Olympus tough stylus 8010. The Olympus website shows its water proof to 33 feet. After I purchased the camera the manual states its only water proof if I send it in at least every 12 months to a authorized Olympus service center.
The cost would be postage there and return with fed-x or UPS and the cost for replacing the ruber seals which the company told me is $59.95 ! This comes to close to $100 every 12 months and no camera while it sits waiting its turn to get new seals. reports run from 8-12 weeks to get your camera back after its serviced.
I then asked if I could replace the seals myself and I told them I understand this would cancel the warranty. They replied with "NO" they will not let me do it myself. They refuse to sell me the seal kit and seem to think this is all right. If fact Olympus wont sell any parts for there tough stylus cameras to any of its customers.
I would say this is false advertising and then high way robbery as there is nothing anywhere in the advertising of all of the tough stylus cameras. Which included more then 8 different models in there line up. Plus many last years models and older units. https://us.buyolympus.com/digital
So now I am stuck with a camera that is not waterproof and I not very happy with this companies attitude of "so what" we have your money so live with the camera. if you want new seals or any other parts then you need to pay use and send in your camera.
All I can say is anyone thinking about a water proof camera is to not buy it from Olympus Cameras. Olympus just doesn't stand behind its products and customers… i sure wish I knew these facts before spending good money on a camera I have to keep paying to keep it working properly.

Olympus has a new "global policy" that they will not sell parts for any of their products to anyone. They only allow their factory technicians to repair their product.
It is this kind of arrogance that makes my shout to people to "avoid Olympus at all steps".
They think they are the only company out there and they can treat people like they are all too stupid to choose other companies. As far as medical equipment, they will not sell repair parts to trained technicians and charge an inflated price for repairs. Their product is not superior either.
