Verified Reviewer |Old Hickory Sheds rent to own: billed for months I had no way to pay, then a no-notice repossession attempt
- - The rent-to-own shed contract was lost, and there was no contact for months.
- - In May they claimed I was behind and threatened repossession.
Shed delivered in January under a rent-to-own agreement. The company then lost my contract and gave me no bill, no portal, no address, and no working contact for nearly four months.
I had no way to pay even though I wanted to. In May they suddenly called, said I was months behind, and threatened to repossess, and that same day was the first time they gave me any way to pay.
Then came repeated legal threats with no help, a 5 a.m. call to my husband, and someone sent to grab the shed with no warning and no access arranged, all while the dispute was still open.
In my honest opinion this is a predatory way to treat a customer who was never given the chance to pay. Full documented timeline with dates: oldhickoryshedssuck.com

So you claim you were willing to pay. When they called you in May didn’t you have at least three payments in the bank to give them on that call?
