Should behind bars
Just like these comments here, it's all true. Frank is a total scammer.
I was told to have the project done by a certain date. I asked when it's going to be done, and he said definitely next month, and I still don't have it. I went by there the other day to see if I can get a refund, and he said he is closing up shop for a while because he said he is going for heart surgery and will be out for 3 months.
Also, in the shop, it looks like he is packing up and leaving. Looking at past reviews, he never completes the project and leaves after more people catch on to his ways and changes the name so people don't come after his business to attack him.

- I mean the cons are easy he is a criminal who steals money

I wish I could give negative stars. Frank Crowe is a seasoned con artist who lures people in with a discount if you pay cash. He uses the same old excuses to keep your money without delivering the product you paid for. He's feeling sick, has heart problems, in the hospital, can't find good employees (because he doesn't pay them), it's too hot in the shop, there's too much snow. He has robbed thousands and thousands of dollars from customers. After an entire year of excuses, he did reimburse me, but I know others have been left with nothing. Do NOT hire him. He uses multiple business names as he has THAT many judgments against him. He has had formal charges brought against him. It's a matter of public record. Just look up Frank Allen Crowe of Lockport or Google any of his multiple business names.

We were ripped off! Paid in full got 0 product
Hi INNOCENT customers, please understand why I'm listing instead of writing, (there's just so much).
- We had a double house fire (around $300,000.00 total loss, we told Frank Crowe that at hire time).
- Hired Crowe to build us shutters &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; front door in late 2019 PAID IN FULL $2400.00!!!!!!!!!!
-Early 2020 getting emails Crowe very sick, hospital stays, tests, lengthy family visits etc. Things I thought had nothing to do with us....but it did, I realized it probably meant he hasn't started our work, why else would he be telling us this unrelated info.
- One of his last emails stated he just ordered wood, I knew at that moment none of the work had even been started!
- Emailed Crowe respectfully & classy requesting a full refund & let's end all ties at a friendly level!
- Crowe emailed us stating he sent us a certified package, thought same thing your thinking, it's the check right?
Several times I asked him through email "is it our $, funds or check? No word back from him. Received the certified envelope & what was in it....... a winded, long letter along with 2 pics of 4 wooden address cookies we ordered a week after our org.
order. I feel he sent this letter certified to try & help himself out somehow, dont know how yet but it will come out in the end! He stated he would drop them off in 1 week, after he finishes them, (shocker)he never came.
- I wrote Crowe a email asking him not to contact us anymore we'll let the courts handle it.
- Hubby (more tolerant than i) called him, no answer (there's another surprise) left message asking for the pieces we paid for (that's all we wanted,) left mess. stating last chance, call me or my wife WILL take you to court.
(wait for it, wait for it) No call back (surprise), hubby then went to the Old Canal shop with our child to ask him to just give us what we paid for, (sapriiiiiiiiise he wasn't there)!
- Husband told me to go to the courts as we have been extremely patient/understanding etc. & this guy is not cooperating & is avoiding us & the situation.
- Called my court & when they are up & running I am filing for all our $, punative damages & court costs, up to $5,000.00. He & the Company will be put on the docket, I cant wait, thank God for contracts, emails, texts and the good old USPS.
In closing our family has been through enough loss, trauma etc. to last everyone in my family the rest of our lives.
How dare this person try to take advantage of us, I am furious. All of this is my opinion, experience and life lesson. I want to make a suggestion, all anyone needs is Crowes name, the business name & address, go to your areas court, clerk or even call & get help/info. on how to file a small claims case.
You will have to pay to file probably under $50.00 (court costs) but include it in the $ amount you're sueing for & if your case is found in your favor you'll get that $ back. Also in my opinion & experience word of mouth is still the best, effective & affective way to reach out & spread the word whether it be good or BAAAAAAD!!

I had a similar situation (as have many others) in 2017. Frank Crowe ripped us off for $6000+ under the business name Wood Butchers.
A judgment was granted by the courts but never paid as his business had no money to pay us. I am disgusted that he is still doing this to more people 5 years later. He should be behind bars. Feel free to contact me via Facebook messenger if you’d like to chat.

In summer of 2021 we started a process of building a large shelving unit with Frank. 3 -1/2 years later, only half is in.
Excuse after excuse for years. We are so angry.
I am now a victim of his scamming . He needs to be stopped!
