Discriminatory Service

Great if they weren't too busy looking at my bumper stickers and making rude comments because they don't agree with them. Extremely unprofessional and discriminatory views.

Attempted rip-off by Vancouver WA Oil Can Henry Valvoline

I took my car in with an on-line $24.99 oil change coupon. The attendant told me the coupon was only for conventional oil, which I knew and accepted.

But he also told me my car needed synthetic oil at $62, which wasn't true.

Before I could ask him to do a conventional oil change, he said if I did that he would phone the manufacturer and tell them they should void my warranty for using the wrong oil.

This threatened blackmail over his false claim trying to force me to pay far more for his most expensive option is totally unacceptable. I strongly advise potential customers to avoid this business and the way it misleads and mistreats customers.

Horrible experience

Approximately a year ago I took my wife’s Honda CRV for an oil change. The employees are very friendly, specially the manager who liked soccer and knows that I am a soccer guy.

Got home and the next day. Noticed oil dripping on my drive way. After a few days, concerned about the oil Being lost I took the car to Honda where I was told that however changed my oil last had really messed up and not told me. The thread on the oil pan was gone and they had put a cork instead of the screw.

It cost me nearly $1000 at Honda to get it fixed. Went back to Oil can Henry and the menager (soccer guy) continued friendly and telling me that he was going to see what he could do. Meanwhile he gave me some coupons for discounted services.

I kept checking with him and never got a response. Never went back there again and would not recommend this place!

For most of my life I have changed my own oil but in the last few years car dealers have been offering two free oil changes when you buy a new vehicle. All dealerships offer oil change, etc.

services comparable in price to the fast change places but the key difference is that you can usually trust the dealership to do the job correctly, unlike some of the fast change ones. A good practice wherever you get your oil changed is to check both the oil pan area and the filter when you get home and if you see oil drips, etc., take the car back immediately. Don't wait a few days to see if it goes away. It won't, unless they spilled oil on the frame, etc.

I us a flashlight to check for drips under the car and in the engine compartment when I get the car home. The bottom line is that you will get more professional service at the dealership.

Oil can Henry's is way over priced and gives you subpar service the Prescott Valley shop diesn't check tire pressure or washer fluid. Employees act like they don't care if your there or if you come back.

Oil Can Henrys Oil Change Review from Portland, Oregon

After taking my E159 van in for oil and filter change I was given a barrage of (in their opinion) needed service and items and their insistance that I needed six qt. Iol rather than the five required and me answering every item mentioned with the statement that I only wanted oil and filter.

The insistance continued.

I finally got out, stood with them and told them to do only my request.

When "finished". I left to find grease and oil prints and marks on fenders and hood.

Having been in auto service for fifty years and ffollowing customers wishes Id say you need to clue them boys in.

I'll be with you soon as I vaccum this car...

Two guys working; one car waiting, one on the rack..

I wanted to drop my wife's car off while she and I went accross the street to get a few things from the store. We were told about an hour til finished.

I just needed to give him the particulars. Would he take them now, so we can leave? "as soon as I get the next car in here I can help you." Waiting... can I leave the car here?

I said again. "As soon as I am done washing these windows, I'll help you" was his reply. Waiting some more...We will give you what info you need so we can leave our car, I said. "I'll be with you as soon as I vacuum this car..." he replied, while his partner did the oil change.

Screw that pimplely faced fat *** We are not waiting on him a minute later.

He just thought we would! :-)

We ended up a block away at Oil Can Henry's..the best customer service I have ever had!

That other person was waiting for their car too. What makes you think you are so special to jump ahead of them?
