Well, first of all... The woman that wrote this contacted me via ModelMayhem and requested a TF ( trade for ) shoot.

The first person I met was the make-up artist, as only her and I were on time. When this model did show up she was evidently not sober ( trouble with balance/speech ) and I tried to make the best of this situation. When I wrapped up the shoot she walked off into the distance without saying much to either of us and the MUA was clearly upset. When I asked, she explained to me she was promised payment - something she intended to use to get home. I drove an hour to get this young girl home, and when I finally made it home myself I hopped onto MM and said the following to this model:"I am very disappointed and unhappy with how today's shoot went.

The imagery we created is not something I am happy with and further, I am agitated to be part of a plot to scam work out of a newbie make-up artist."She responded, as here, in all caps. Calling me a scammer, a criminal, etc. She cited various organizations and famous connections whom she would use to "ruin me".As it turns out, her biggest connection was the internet.

And she had posted to as many "pissed off" websites as her anger would allow her.To the point,I was in Los Angeles with my husband - who was an american. And yes, we decided to live in LA instead of Canada.A fair point to be made here is that criminals are not permitted to cross the border. And while I appreciate she didn't get what she wanted from her free shoot - this is hardly illegal.

This is all ***. I have worked with her on a number of jobs. She is very professional, finished work on a timely manner and even threw in extra edits.

I wonder if the people who had bad experiences were just terrible themselves.

Interesting. Same thing happened to us.

We received only ONE photo we could use after months of pushing her to send us our PAID FOR photos! We missed our deadline for the promo we needed them for, and she had three months with the shots to do it! She publicly insulted me saying we were insensitive to her illness!!Somehow she got sick for three months, some kind of BLINDNESS!!!! NEVER PAY HER beforehand.

Learned a hard lesson. She eventually sent us EVERY BAD photo she could find .. out of the hundreds taken. It was unreal.

This lady is a scam. After all that money, we STILL dont have our pictures (Except for the obvious nasty ones she sent us...)

I'd love to know who you are.First point : All paid shoots include a signed contract with a deadline. I meet my deadlines.Second point : I did, in fact, lose my sight in my left eye due to optic neuritis.

And sure, it was devastating. But having said that, I never missed any of my contracts.Third point : I have certainly taken bad photos. Your point of receiving photos contradicts the "one photo" and the whole "scam" statements you are making. The whole "us" in this comment reminds me of a particular hair stylist I would often work with for free. We had a huge falling out and the catalyst for that was a shoot where everything went wrong.

Once again, I told this person I was unhappy with how the shoot went ( alcohol and drug abuse on set being my major complaint ) - and that the images were a disaster.Being that this was a free shoot, I told him it was a write-off and I had no interest continuing this work. He did not agree and cited his time as "value paid to me".I'd like to finish on this point :I'm brutally honest and have a zero tolerance for a lack of sobriety on my set. You can count on me every time to tell you when images are *** when models aren't performing, and when make-up/costume is not up to par. I am not someone who settles for mediocre ( or bad ) and that is why people hire me to do it right and why my free shoots are often scrapped. There are plenty of people who don't like me.

And there are plenty of people who do.At the end of the day, I apologize for your bad experience. I would have liked to have made beautiful imagery with you and it strikes me most unfortunate that we were not able to.
