Gross negligence and even grosser incompetence.

AI Highlights
  • On 12/20/2024 I nearly fainted after too much plasma was drawn and care was delayed.
  • I was told 90 days later that my bloodwork showed low protein.

I'd jump feet first into a wood chipper before I go back there.

Original review Mar 27, 2025
During my visit on 12/20/2024, I was subjected to what I believe to be serious negligence. The staff took approximately 1,050mL of plasmaso much that I nearly passed out and experienced limited hearing.

When I informed a staff member that I was about to lose consciousness, she delayed coming over because she was wiping down chairs. I was left sitting there, unable to move, still hooked up to the machine, and with limited hearing. I overheard the senior phlebotomist yell, "OMG, you took too much," to which the staff member responded, "He's a big guy." It appeared that the only reason the machine stopped was that the collection bottle was beyond capacity.
To make matters worse, 90 days later, I was informed that I had failed my bloodwork that day due to low protein levels. If my protein levels were inadequate, why was I allowed to donate in the first place?

And why was more plasma taken than FDA regulations allow, especially given my low protein levels?
When I left a negative review, the centers response was to ask me to call them. However, when I did, I was repeatedly talked over and not given a chance to speak. The representative dismissed my concerns outright, stating, "It must have been marketing that told you to call," as if my issue was irrelevant. After that, I was told to call back when I was in a "better mood." Additionally, I was dared to file a complaint with the FDA and was told the FDA "can't do anything."
I then attempted to escalate the issue through corporate customer service.

The representative listened briefly, then said someone would contact me and proceeded to end the callwithout even taking my contact information. When I asked him to repeat my complaint back to me, it was clear he hadnt listened at all. After insisting on speaking to a supervisor, I was put on hold for nearly 10 minutes, only to be told that no supervisors were available. The moment I refused to hang up, a supervisor was suddenly availableindicating that I had been deliberately misled.
When I finally spoke with someone claiming to be a supervisor, she could not even locate my records, which raises serious concerns about whether my information was deliberately erased to cover up negligence.

She assured me that she would follow up. That was two weeks ago, and I have yet to hear from anyone.

Preferred solution: Accountability so this doesn't happen to others. They are a public safety threat, just look at all the lawsuits they have lost.

User's recommendation: Go anywhere but here, it's literally not safe.
