The Rudest Customer Service Agent I ever had the displeasure of talking to.
I called this company to get more information as I was trying to make an decision to get off the VA healthcare system. Admittedly I was unprepared as I never had independent health insurance. I am a disabled veteran and have been using my VA Healthcare Benefits for the past 20 years Well, after a brief hold, a customer service representative by the name of Carlos came on the line. At the time I was rifling through some papers to find these cards I got in the mail. I guess he became annoyed by this and he began to berate me for my ignorance of the subject manner. His tone was very flippant and rude. I told him that there was no need to take that tone with me. He then escalated his rudeness and condescension as well as insulting my intelligence. I once worked in customer service and I know firsthand that it is an underappreciated job. It can be very stressful and some of the customers calling in are often very rude themselves. However, I never treated a customer the way that this "jerk" did me. I would NEVER have treated or spoken to a customer in that disrespectful way EVER. That was the rudest person I ever had the displeasure of talking to. I cant believe he still has a job. I would've been fired on the spot had I treated anyone like that.
