Incompetent installation and service of Trane HVAC

AI Highlights
  • - Bought a Trane from Oasis.
  • - AC stopped; coolant leak, motor oil leak, clogged gas intake.
  • - Warranty not extended beyond 5 years; repairs over $1000.

I purchased a Trane from Oasis Heating and Cooling in 2018 thinking I was getting a reliable system that would last a long time. When I had it serviced this spring, the AC had stopped working.

I was told that it was leaking/out of coolant. ( I have had it serviced every spring and fall) It will require new refrigerant and a motor that is leaking oil. When installing the unit the incompetent worker clogged the gas intake line and wanted me to call another repair person to find the problem. That alone should have warned me about the company.

I just found out oasis neglected to contact Trane to extend the warranty beyond the 5 yr automatic one. Now I have over $1000 in repairs ahead

User's recommendation: Not worth the extra cost for a Trane and do not use Oasis
