Cant even find a rule book anywhere...
Visiting family from out of state and was told their hoa isnt allowing them to park multiple vehicles in their driveay and no one can park on the grass..sorry but we have a big family visiting from tennessee and they had the audacity to say that since we were parked on the grass near the road that we could be fined and i cant even find a handbook or rule guide online...ive heard other complaints from the family member who lives there about stupid things like leaving a rake leaned up against the side of their house after raking their leaves when the neighbor had a pile of dirt 3 feet high with grass growing on top of it....this is ridiculous. There should be a manual online outlining every "rule" this place has. >:(
Rules ???????
It appears that the regulations in Oakwood village are only for those who choose to follow them. No one in Oakwood Village has signed any agreement with the association to follow the rules therefore it appears that enforcement is difficult.
We are residents of Oakwood and happily comply but many land owners here do not.
From overgrown lots to unregistered cars, brake jobs on campers and cars parked on lawns of vacant lots are just a few of the things that need to be corrected. forty two lots to date have unpaid fees with no fines or interest imposed , now it's time for the powers to be to act and make this association professional.

Oakwood village HOA is power hungry!
oakwood viallage home owners association in Beverly Hills FL, has nothing to do but fine people! Instead of worrying about real violations on empty lots in the community, real violations with homes, etc they focus on peoples grass!
not that it needs cutting but because they don't have ENOUGH grass in their yard! It's Florida! How is someone suppose to control grass growth in a hot location that has been lacking rainfall this year? I was blown away to hear stories of this with my homeowners association.
It's not just one person, it's many!! I'm sorry but some of the treees and inspite of paying $1,000 a year for lawn treaments grass growth is still not controllable. they complain about the minorest things which is going to push property value DOWN due to their *** rules they pick and chose to enforce and on specific people only! None of us can control the rate of growth in Florida!
There is plenty of violations in our community yet some are expected to pay for things OUTSIDE of their survey when it is NOT on our property because they don't feel like dealing with the owner of the other one or it is a friend of the board. They should be just as responsible for following the rules as anyone in the community! Some of us are on FIXED incomes and can't afford all these additional fees in things only GOD can control! They think they can push and bully and force us to make a few extra shards of grass grow in yards!
Who can control that?
Perhaps you should focus of the eye sores in the neighbor hood and the over grown lots not being mowed and trees falling down not being cleaned up than focus on lack of grass in yards that some have paid over $1,000 this year to try to get it to grow and no one can control it! Stay away from this association They worship grass

As a home shopper, I am researching this area but am disappointed in what I am learning. Associations need to be for 'well fare of all not a certain few feeding on ridiculous power.
As a homeowner, this person should have the established 'handbook' when they purchased the property.
If this was not transferred to them,,,,,there is a major flaw in this associations' ability to maintain order. Good luck, I will not be moving to Citrus County!
