Oakmont North Apartments

I was never a resident of Oakmonth north never signed any thing lease at all I was trying to become one but never did because the slow lady that took my 40 application fee, thought that it wasnt her responsibility to get the landlord reference check like any other organization in leasing office. She was really slow.

So I did a disput with my bank and they put my money back in my account and they must have gotten there 400.00 back but not the 228.81 I was told I was approved July 5 they just told a dam lie thats just what it was a dam lie facts then slowness tried to say she couldnt get a response from my leasing office after I put all information on the rental application thats how you no people steal and the apartment wasnt going be ready until oct 21 but slowness emailed me stateing she need a email address and she couldnt allow me to move in she sent that email oct 19 and my lease was up the 31 of October I knew them they were thieves thry going catch a fraud case messing with the bank and they should I was never a tenant. I was trying to become long, but I was never 10 and Ive never signed the lease and what makes you think you can keep $225 for prorated rent for October 25 and Ill pay that early September 15. Thats what I see about slow people in thieves they always get caught.they need to go back to school they slow and the worse thieves, but I aint the first person they probably did this too after pandemic people just got so thirsty that they gotta cheat and steal from people cause thats what they trying to do, but theyre not gonna get away with it.

The bank gonna get their money trust me they gonna get their money cause they like to do a thorough investigation that one receipt that all you see is numbers thats the receipt that Oakmonth sent to the bank and bank sent to me there dum *** forgot that theyll give you a paper where you can go to Walmart Harris Teeter, Walgreens and pay your rent if you dont wanna pay it on the portal so I paid the $225 at Walmart for prorated rent. I paid it early thinking that I was gonna move in cause the lady called me on July 5 and said that I was approved then its a whole different story thieves I moved on the 24 of October as planed but not there at Oakmonth they were crooked

I was apartment hunting in May 2024 because I wasn't renewing my lease at my current apartment, so I stopped in Oakmont north and spoke with a lady she said to wait until July because my lease wasn't up until October 31/2024, and I did call her back she instructed me to go apply on their site I did, and I received a call several days later from Jordyn Rose stateing I was approved for the 2 bedroom upgrade and that my deposit was 400.00 and I could pay now or later she talked so strong about the apartment I told her that I needed a down stairs cant do up stairs at all its to much and she asked me if I wanted the black appliances and I told her yes with the carpet in the bedroom that was all understood. She told me that she will be the one that I will be talking to throughout the process.

I told her OK. She said that I could call her anytime if I had any questions later, she sent me an email requesting my credentials and she gave me the link to send them to. I gave her my drivers license. She wanted six paystub.

I gave her my Social Security verification letter that verifies my income when I filled out the application online I put my current address apartment complex information where I was residing and she received everything I pay $40 for that application fee online which means I had to give them my current landlords information email address, telephone number leasing office lady name all of that I ended up paying the $400 August 16, 2024 Next I received the call from Karla . She stated that she was the leasing manager. She was rude when she called me and she told me that she would be taking over and that the apartment will be ready October 21 and I was very much confused she said that the other lady that I have been dealing with was handling anything anymore, so I told her my lease is not until October 31 I said but I would like to move in the week before which would be October 25 and that it was Department because thats what we had talked about. Thats what we had agreed on and thats what was understood with me and Miss Rose , thats her last name Rose then I went to the office because I didnt like how things that shifted and changed and that was on August 27 and Karla was just talking about.

Dont worry about it. I got this and that she would handle it she stated she would call for my landlord reference this was the 27 th of August so I went ahead and paid the 225 for the prorated rent for October because she had already given me the paperwork that had the apartment number that I was going to be occupying and also to pay the rent if I didnt pay it on the resident portal, I could go to Walmart and pay it and thats what I did so that I will be in the system this is the leasing office contacted another leasing office just to verify residency how long I live there if I was the poor tenant housekeeper if I paid my rent on time if I was late paying my utilities water, trash and sewage on September 27, 2024 I got an email from Shanta stateing she reached out to my current landlord and that she received no response strange leasing office to leasing office seem like she would have known the protocol instead she told me that I wouldnt be able to move in so I want my money back. My $400 deposit and my $225 because they didnt lose nothing because Karla stated that the apartment wouldnt be ready until October 21, and that she would let me view that apartment on that day I say these women are slow. People dont care she didnt care that.

I had to move on 31 October because when she first reached out to my leasing office, she shouldve sent her form in the mail and she should have contact me ASAP that was part of that $40 application fee for her to verify that landlord reference dont mess with these people. They are trustworthy now Karla give me a paper on 27 August with the address on there stating that the $400 deposit in the 225 should be paid on the 25th , too many hands in the pot because the lady told me its better to pay the $400 that way it holds your spot which I believe her I believe her because that's how normally goes. I know that, so I'm going to need my money back I told him dont mess with them. They dont care they dont care they do not care about you.

They do not care about their tenants. They treat people any kind away their first impression was their right impression for some concerned . I truly honestly believe that everybody was looking in my file that they had created looking at all my check stubs looking at my drivers license Social Security card Social Security verification letter and was just really being nosy all forever. I had to call him to make sure that they received my deposit and Melissa, emailed me back and said yes Valerie we received your deposit.

I believe there was looking looking at my credentials. I truly believe that I told him they can keep that apartment just give me my money back because Virginia is big on landlord references oh they want to reference and not to mention that I have lived at 3134 Azalea Garden Rd for the past 10 1/2 years come October 1, 2024, Dominion power can tell you that .
