Cancellation problem

I have just cancelled a booking made in January. Booking no JBCLCHMR - cancellation no 0902. I made the reservation in order to attend a Ships in Bottles convention running at your Greenwich Hotel on 11/09/20 - 13.09/20. When I made the booking the hotel did not seem to know about this convention (which was made for our organization with the convention manager Fabio Rogrigues). The deal that I only heard about later stated that bookings could held without payment up until 90 days before the convention. Because I did not know this at the time of the booking I went ahead and paid (£261). I believe that I am thus entitled to a refund !!
