Rock Found in Confectionary - Nougat Limar Coffee & Almond Nougat
Nougat Limar - Coffee & Almond Nougat Found a small rock in nougat bought from bonbon.com.au. No fault of the suppliers though. Contacted manufacturer with picture of rock and nougat together, you can see where the rock was lodged into the nougat. Was contacted back by a South African male who was highly aggressive towards me. Swore at me and verbally berated me after he accused me of planting the rock in the nougat to get free products... Manufacturer is Nougat Limar who I have had nougat from before, no problem in the past. I wanted to inform them about the rock as a heads up but was immediately insulted, threatened and then accused of "planting the rock to get free products". Owner is Andrew Yiasemides or Mary Coney, not sure who. Pretty sure it was Andrew who abused me verbally and accused me of wrong doing when I was only contacting to give them warning about a possible bad batch. Will not be buying products from ever again after this run in. Not willing to take this to Consumer Affairs as it is a small issue, however happy to post it here as a warning for others. Stay clear of this nougat, you might choke on a rock or crack your teeth. Bad company, bad values, bad product (was fine before finding a rock), bad people, bad nougat, bad attitude...

Nougat Limar
It never ceases to amaze me of the lengths some people would go to in an effort to damage ones reputation.
1.
There's never been an African male working for the company.
2. There are four staff in our office. Three female and onemale.
Male being my self an aust.
3.
Our records show that no person has ever called to complain about this issue.
Any complaint be it extremely rare is documented as part of our food safety program which undergoes a rigorous yearly audit.
