I have dual insurance coverage that means no out of pocket co payments. I have been working with my Dr's billing office about 2 of my many visits, for some reason they cannot change my primary insurance info. They have it backwards. Anyways of the many visits that they had no problem with my dual coverage. Only 2 of them they want me to make payments on. I have been in contact with with both insurance companies while they called the Dr's billing office and go over the payments. The primary insurance pays their part, the secondary insurance has an agreement all of my EOB's show a $0 copayment. SO now I have to work with collections and clear my CREDIT REPORT!

Vaccine before colonoscopy

After scheduling a colonoscopy and waiting a month so that I could receive both my vaccine shots, two days before my procedure I am called and told that I neeed two weeks after my 2nd shot. Meanwhile dr gandalfos genius secretary told us one week after the shot was ok. Long story short, day off of work wasted, time wasted. Miscommunication at its finest costing this patient time and money

Very Rude billing rep @ tel# 855-853-****

She was extremely rude, disrespectful and condescending and she wouldn't stop talking. She spoke to me as though I was a little child that she was scolding. She even proceeded to lecture me about the medical field and just she just kept yapping. So, I interrupted her yet still, she wouldn't stop talking but then tells at me "you see, you don't listen...", when I really just wanted to move the call along as I was getting nowhere. When I asked her for her full name, she only gave her first name, after hesitating (which left me to believe that it was a fake name), then said she is the "only Chantal" here. It's like she was relishing a moment of feeling like she was in charge. She clearly was unable to assist me with my concern, but proceeded to lecture me instead of putting me to speak with someone who could help me. From one West Indian to another, she felt too comfortable "sticking" it to me, because that's how we often treat each other when we perceive ourselves as having the upper hand. I was exhausted after listening to her go on and on and so I demanded that she put me to speak to someone else, which she seemed reluctant to do. I eventually hung up before the call was transferred because it was just all too aggravating an experience and I had no energy to speak to the next person.

Poor communicationss

Northwell Health, the parent company of North Shore Hospital in Glen Cove, NY has outsourced its billing to Optum. The website is outdated, and you receive no response from it. Hold time, if you are successful in getting a representative is well over twenty minutes. Than you are prompted to VM, and a recording of mail box full, please call back. I have a problem going on for six months regarding a bill I paid. I have presented them a copy, call, emailed and accessed their website with the information. There response was to turn it over to a collection agency! Totally inefficient billing process which undermines the quality of their doctors. Patty Froehling, the person in charge is the leader of this failed department. A lack of customer service destroys businesses. The ultimate insult.....there letter begins with "valued patient".

They such you cannot even pay your bill. no one answers

Absolutely agree! Just went through this very same issue.

Received an invoice 6 months later with no explanation of costs. Called for itemized bill -- didn't meet any EOB and left 8 messages for someone to call back.

Then received a collection letter. Going crazy.
