Missing item

I recently placed an order which I received partially. After a month, they can't tell when the remaining item will ship. Therefore, I asked for full refund because the part received is useless without the rest of the order. What I got was that I have to pay for shipping cost for the delivered part if I want to return it. They advertise an excellent customer service but after today's experince I would take my business somewhere else.

Beware of Northridge's Returns Policy!

Northridge 4x4 - Beware of Northridge's Returns Policy!
Beware their returns policy! They are now (as of 6/19/2020) requiring: -- returns be made to Washington state, across the country from where our parts originated -- a 30% restocking fee! not the standard 15% -- An RGA is obtained. They will: -- charge you to pay return shipping to Washington state -- RETROACTIVELY charge you for what they say they had originally paid for shipping the part to you, despite any free original shipping that was covered by any promotion. When we purchased the part, shipping was FREE over $70, which made Northridge competitively priced with other options. So although shipping was free to us at the time of purchase, they will be assessing a retroactive shipping fee now. When you put the part in your basket to purchase it, their system requires you input your make/model/year of the vehicle, so if you have a customized vehicle with upgraded parts, like our Jeep, this works against getting the proper part. In our case, we had help from the dealer, we inputted the part number from the manufacturer, and the part SHOULD have fit -- according to Northridge, and according to the bracket manufacturer -- but it doesn't fit ONLY FOR OUR BRAND axle. Northridge doesn't have that disclaimer listed in the description of the part, but their Customer Service parts person seemed to know this after-the-fact. So BEWARE, you could be standing with a dealer looking for a part, get the number from the manufacturer, paste it into Northridge's search bar, and STILL get a part that doesn't fit. Then when you try to return it, between restocking, return shipping and getting charged retroactively for original shipping that was given free of charge on the original order, you won't get back what you paid for the part. Northridge's returns process leaves little left to refund. They appeared to be a good choice when we were ordering the part, but we've learned how they are no longer consumer-friendly.
