Northeast Propane performed an installation without pulling permits and the install is not up to code.

0 Stars not possible so Saveway/Northeast Propane get 1.

RUN. Do not walk from this lying, unprofessional company.

We purchased home in Nov 2020.

My first experience with Northeast is them arriving at my home UNANNOUUNCED to TAKE my propane!

I explained I paid for the fuel and they could call me to work it out.

We ran out of propane. I called the company myself and got the run around. I asked for a manager to call me back.

They eventually arranged to take the old tank (Empty, which they installed in 2008, this is important later) and deliver and fill a new one.

When they arrived they removed the old tank (They had been filling up until this time exclusively) and installed the new one. They then refused to refill gas - get this - the gas lines were not up to code (Yes, the ones they installed in 2008 with the delivery of the tank.) They never pulled any permits from the town!

It then took nearly 6 MONTHS for them to send 3 people out to quote the job, then a 4th and 5th visit to do the installation, which I had to pay for.

Again... NO PERMITS WERE PULLED OR REQUESTED!!

They broke one of my stoves, completely unnecessarily then charged me over $100 for parts to repair what they broke.

They filled the propane without issue for 1 season. This season, They let us run dry, after telling them 3 times with plenty of notice (More than they require on their website) that we were nearing empty.

They then sent someone UNANNOUCED to fill the gas, WITHOUT CHECKING THE PILOTS WERE GOING!!! Very dangerous.

The office folks swear the driver was going to check, but I confirmed with the driver he was going to fill and leave.

I stopped them and asked to speak to a supervisor. the Supervisor said they would correct the situation. They didn't.

When i reached out AGAIN, Pam offered to "Not Charge" me $100 to come restart pilots after they fill, This is an easy task and is included from other vendors...

I told them we were done and called another company.

Now the other company says the tank and lines are VIOLATING building code.

Called the town - NORTHEAST NEVER PULLED A PERMIT. THEY INSTALLED MY SISTEM not 1x BUT 2X WITH NO PERMIT!!!

and violated building code doing it!

Now waiting on the town to call them to rectify this situation, as they fail to respond to me several times.

Now on the Saveway side - Yes not just propane but the oil side is a joke too. Paul over there is a HUGE jerk, and must be real miserable because he's really mean without any reason and talks down to you on the phone. Don't look to him to solve any issues, he'll just yell and insult you until you hang up.

Saveway has unethical delivery practices and when called out on it, you just get belittled by Paul.

UPDATE: To top it off this is their response. Not to fix anything, not to try to make it right.

just CANCLED. They even go so far as to blame someone else when I have record of their employees confirming they did the install.

THEY ALSO STOLE MY REGULATOR AND CINDERBLOCKS!!!(Police report filed)

"I hope this email finds you well.

As you know, per your request - we have removed the tank, pigtail and regulator that belong to Northeast Oil and Propane. The original line & tank placement was placed on the property before you bought the house, and this was done by Osterman Propane. Perhaps, you should send them an email inquiring if they pulled a permit when the original work was done.

Over the past 2.5 years, we have attempted to resolve all your issues and concerns during the time you were a customer, and by finally removing the tank.

Again, as I stated in past emails, we apologize that it never seemed to be enough or to your satisfaction. We have kept all documentation and work orders from your time with us. Our goal is to meet and exceed our customers needs and we meet that expectation with 99% of our customer base.

Your account balance is at $0 and it has been terminated.

Thank you for your business and we wish you well.

Pam"
