Failed to liquidate promptly, costing me $$$$$

On 8/6/10 I requested my agent at Northstar Financial, Evan White, liquidate some mutual funds and send me a check. I needed the money 8/27.10. I thought transaction was in process and check was on the way. I called on Wednesday verify. Evan still had not sold and the DOW was down 2.3% that day. In previous cases when other brokers have made similar error, either broker or company have made me whole and made up the difference as if transaction when requested instead of several days later. This company is still "investigating" nearly two weeks later, though noone has contacted me.
