Worst experience ever :((((
Overall worst experience ever. Poor customer service.
Unprofessional service advisers, some of them arrogant. Service advisers talk a lot about personal subjects among themselves ignoring customers. Long lines to get the repair done. Long waiting time for any inquiry.
Over-promised time for completing the repair. Deceiving answers about the status of the repair. Overcharged practices.
I would recommend avoiding this facility if you can. Extremely disappointing experience.

Disastrous Customer Service
This review is based solely on my opinion of my experience at North Jersey Truck Center. I am a former employee who quit after being verbally and then physically threatened by Andrew, one of their mechanics.
From the beginning, the bigotry in the office was brazen. I've never experienced such a high instance of sexism, racism, favoritism, and lack of professionalism on the part of a service manager.
For example, he and others continuously and mockingly refer to female employees as "chicks." I remember, in one instance, the service manager and a parts employee referring to our only female service writer as "smelly.” The sexual and sexist jokes directed at her and another female employee were annoying and offensive, to say the least.
A few weeks after I was hired, she first resigned and was then fired. Her explanation was that she felt she wasn't welcomed there and I obviously understood why she felt that way. I remember asking her why she allowed the service manager to treat her that way and she had no reasonable answer except that she was used to it.
After she left, the service manager's childish behavior intensified. The jokes and disrespect became filthier and more blatant.
On at least 2 occasions, the service manager expressed how much he hated customers. I believed that he actually did because of the type of service, or lack thereof, that was provided.
It’s unfathomable that an oil change can take 8 hrs to complete. When an oil change is finally complete, the customer has to wait until his/her vehicle is removed from the shop because it’s blocked by 1 or more trucks that can’t move.
It seems that at least half of the techs in the shop are under-trained. Hours are spent diagnosing or repairing what should normally be a simple fix.
The customer ends up paying for the incompetence in the shop. I’ve seen the prices charged because part of my responsibilities includes invoicing and billing.
If excessive hours are spent working on a vehicle, the service writer is instructed to adjust the comments to justify the excessive time and charge the customer. This comes in addition to a 30% mark up of standard repair times, parts, and towing services.
On numerous occasions, vehicles dropped off for repairs and sit for at least a couple of days before a mechanic works on it. It was typical to have a vehicle in for a week before I could give a customer an update on any progress done.
Vehicles have to sit idle for days, weeks, and at times, months because parts that would be expected to be stocked are not and must be ordered.
I lost count of how many times vehicles returned for the same issues a day or even hours after it has left the shop.
Customers are told that repairs will be covered under warranty and then it turns out that warranty coverage does not apply to the repair so they are stuck with an unforeseen bill.
In the 9 weeks that I was employed at North Jersey Truck Center, the service manager was in court twice and another company employee once for suits brought against either North Jersey Truck Center, or Freightliner.
On my 8th week there, Andrew was in the office throwing around a customers last name as if it was a joke. When I corrected him, he threatened me with a violent act. When I informed the service manager, Jason, about the threat, he just laughed. I simply moved on.
My final day there, I questioned Jason on the excessive time that a mechanic took to diagnose a customer complaint. Andrew intruded on the conversation ordering me to stop picking on the mechanic. He then proceeded to start yelling and cursing at me in front of the customers. I decided to leave the office as I only had 3 minutes remaining in my shift. Andrew then proceeded to push up against me as I was walking out. It goes without saying that an act like this by someone much taller and heavier than me is, at a minimum, cowardly. At that point I knew I had to leave. I left and never went back.
Any *** can understand the high importance of customer service. In my opinion, neither the service manager nor the team he is supposed to lead has any respect or consideration for the customers.
This is my opinion of my experience at North Jersey Truck Center.
- Laughable pay rate
- Poor treatment of employees
- Unsafe work environment
