No Professionalism At All...on 6-9-17

I went into the location on Shiloh road. At first, when I walked in I thought the receptionist had some manners but a couple of ladies came in after myself and I use that term (ladies) loosely.

The loud noise and laughter started while I was in the process of watching a safety video. The receptionist didn't bother to close the close so I couldn't hear the tape and I turned the volume up and she came in and turned it back down and had the nerve to say that she wouldn't be able to receive phone calls with the tv so loud. I wanted to tell that ..... if you would lower your voice and behave in a professional manner that wouldn't be a problem.

I proceeded to mark out my information on the papers I had submitted and told them this is not for me.. #StraightGhetto

Good for you! There are too many other agencies to pick from. You don't have to tolerate ghetto, unprofessional ones.

North Georgia Staffing Assignment at RPI, Kennesaw, GA - Negative Experience

I had a really bad experience working at the company I was assigned to by North Georgia Staffing (Reischling Press, Inc, Kennesaw Office).

My role was customer services representative (temporary). Unfortunately, the person who was assigned to train me (the permanent customer services rep) was not the person who hired me, and she appeared to dislike me from the start. For example, after just one day, she asked me if I was returning; she did not respond to any of my emails; and she gave me no feedback on any of the ad hoc tasks that I completed. She absolutely did not train me; to start with, I was given virtually nothing to do, and then all of a sudden, she started to bark orders at me, with no instructions.

I communicated the problems I was experiencing with North Georgia Staffing who actually have two of their staff based at RPI. I asked to be updated on my status at the company, however, the onsite staff did not keep me informed. I was treated very badly at RPI on Friday (4/29/16) and virtually ignored for the whole day. I have therefore assumed that the customer services rep who was supposed to be training me successfully got me “terminated.” I would have preferred to have left the assignment at an earlier stage (with some dignity) and avoided my particularly bad experience on the last day.

To add insult to injury, the salary I have been paid is suspiciously low; I now suspect that the salary that was quoted to me verbally by the employment agency ($15 per hour) is not the salary I have received. (I received nothing in writing in either hard copy form or by email upon starting this assignment.)

I consider that North Georgia Staffing charges job applicants excessive fees for pre-screening drug tests (fees that other agencies do not impose), however, I still find it difficult to believe that the total salary that I have apparently earned has turned out to be what I regard as very low. This is an issue that is yet to be resolved.

A lot of perm. employees feel threatened by a temp. They have a fear the temp will perform better than themselves and perhaps take their jobs.

Yeah, that was definitely the issue... aside from any job insecurity, I feel that she was generally threatened by me.

For example, the company had an extremely casual dress code (a lot of people wore jeans to work). I dressed in more "business casual" attire because I don't have any real jeans, and I'm not comfortable dressing like that.

Anyway, I noticed that a couple of days after I started the job, for one day, this woman dressed more like me (in business casual attire), and at the same time suggested that I wore jeans! So yeah, a lot of issues going on there.
