Today on 3/25/24 I observed rude, bullying behavior by only employee at Asheville Tunnel Road location, State Police

Upon entering the DMV office the one employee announced to each person that the office was closed between 11:30 am and 1 pm. This was an African American woman, whose name I wasn't able to obtain.

She was rude to customers who entered this 600 Tunnel Road location in Asheville. I observed her yelling at several elderly people that someone would have to go outside so as not to crowd waiting area. She did the same with women and children who came in.

There were available seats. One elderly lady said she was accompanying another who needed emotional support.

I spoke to another elderly woman, who like me, was trying to get a NC license having moved from Virginia. During her turn, I could hear everything that was said. She was told that she had to get a notarized birth certificate, a certificate of marriage and another of divorce to get her NC license. She left upset.

On my turn, I provided a recent passport, a letter from Social Security Administration with my NC address and my Virginia license. I produced my auto insurance. I taped the auto insurance paper with full information on a card. She insisted this was laminated though it was obviously scotch tape.

She watched me attempt to take the tape off commenting that if I lifted any of the print it would not be accepted.

I left utterly frustrated as it appear that her agenda was to intimidate and throw obstacles up rather than be helpful. I looked up evaluations of this office and the appear to match my experience.

If an employee does not wish to serve the public and instead bullies customers she should be fired.

Your automated phone didn't answer my question and doesn't give an option to speak to a human being. This caused me to drive to a DMV store to ask a simple question.

This is unacceptable in today's world.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The Department of Motor vehicles do to whomever and whoever they what to do. and enforces laws harshly with abuse and without respecting individuals' rights.

they will also over exceed an individual's terms of restrictions without understanding that these restrictions cause individual pains and struggles, mostly the DMV will use powering of there authority power on the individuals of north carolina that are in poverty situations low income, jobs that do not pay but small wages.

individuals that have already served their term restrictions and sobriety. most officers have presented bias and even used their power to shame individuals or place them in stressful situations.
