Unethical business
Unprofessional owner. I wouldn't trust her with my business or accounts. Better solutions are readily available.
Card processing return
I was given a fraudulent contract by the bank representative. I spoke to Bernard Cooks on Aug 21, 2019 requesting the copy of the signed contract, however he only provided me with a filled PDF form.
I explained that this is not the contract "Alex" gave me and this was not the terms I agreed on. Since February i've requested for the account to be closed along with the return address to send the terminal. Alex would never answer and and would say that he was going to fix it. I didn't' want to do business with him/this company since Feb 2019.
Now in Oct 2019, i'm getting a noticed that I'm being sent to collections. Alex, made sure I didn't get anything directly and put his email address in my profile with the bank. I discussed his issue with Bernard. Instead for assisting me, the customer, I was sent to collections...
I still didn't get returning address for their device. This North American Bancard is an absolute scam!
- Fraudulent contracts
Preferred solution: Remove me from collections and closed my account permanently
Avoid them like the plague!
In 2017 I received a credit card processing machine from North American Bancard thru care credit. It was 3 months late, so I decided to use square.
I called them (North American Bancard) 3 times requesting that they pick up the machine. 3 times they said they would send a fed ex shipping label. Never received it, so I put the unused machine on a shelf and forgot about it. Never have I received any communication from them.
Then, 1/8/20, I get a call from a collection agency, SRS. Demanding $895.00 in 10 days or he will ruin my credit. His words. I havent had any communication from this company at all.
No bills, no request for payment, nothing until this call. I spoke to someone at NAB she said everything I said was noted in the file and there wasnt anything ever sent to me from them, but that she couldnt help me since it had been sent to collections.
Same with care credit. Told the collection agency my side of the story, he said he didnt care, just wanted the money.

Preferred solution: Pick up your machine and remove me from SRS Collection Agency
Bad to work with and they burn you a year after you have left
I had to pay the amount they extorted or they would have ruined my credit.
Whatever you do, do not work with North American Bancard. If you are a business and are setting up credit card processing, ask your processor if North American Bancard provides equipment.
If they are the provider, run away as fast as you can. We closed a business a year ago. We returned the equipment within the timeline required. We kept the tracking number for six months but, having heard nothing from them, we cleaned out our files (big mistake).
A year after the business was closed, we received a call from a collection agency stating that North American Bancard had never received our equipment.
So, rather than sending an invoice or notice 60 or 90 days after reportedly not receiving the equipment, they waited a year and sent a complaint to a collection agency without ever contacting us. The agent told me this is the way they always do business - no contact with client and then direct report to collection agency (!). I was also told that the warehouse sometimes does not enter information that equipment has been received so you get reported to a collection agent.
you get the picture. Run away.
- Unethical
- Report you to credit agency with no warning or verified cause
- Disorganized
Preferred solution: Full refund

Held my funds without contacting me for three months due to their error in processing paperwork on new federal regulations regarding credit security then drug their feet for another month getting me my funds. Billed me for equipment I attempted to return for four months after I sold business.
Refused to contact me with information on return address of this equipment after many calls explaining I had sold my business. I was unable to return equipment so they billed me for it.
Sent me to collections due to their refusal to supply me with address to return equipment so I was unable to return said equipmnt. I will be seeing them in court.

Bait & Switch at its best.
After 7 years of service in my small fitness facility, we were pretty satisfied... That is until we needed to cancel our service w/NAB due to closing our doors.
10 months after cancelling our account we noticed monthly charges were still coming out of our bank account and when we called NAB to inquire about the charges they informed us that we "authorized" the opening of a 2nd account in 2012, although we didn't. However, there is no trace of the initial sales rep, no signature, no billing, and most important no transactions were made throughout the entire existence of this account. When attempting to cancel our account NAB cancelled this added account instead of the original active account, thus leaving it open to continue unauthorized monthly fees. We then spoke with a Supervisor and after rounds of back and forth exchanges of facts that ultimately led to the exposure of their fraudulent and deceptive practices a refund was agreed upon.
Alongside the proposed refund, a correction in closing the proper account was finally confirmed. Although In taking what we could get, we were left extremely dissatisfied due to the fact that an offer to refund excessive charges for March - July 2015 was denied. Also, we were being charged monthly for this mystery account from 2012 until the time of our initial call to cancel in February of 2015. Basically in a nutshell we called NAB out on their deceptive business practices by allowing eps to do whatever I takes to sold you heir commissions.
Even if it means creating unsolicited/unwanted additional accounts/services by way of forgery and fraud at the expense of the merchant. Worse and most common of all is that when they are called out on the various aspects of their fraudulent nature, the independent sales rep conveniently disappears. Lastly, when the agreed upon resolution somehow becomes a mere over the phone formality only to be abandoned once off the phone it is rather infuriating while at the same times disheartening to a justice seeking patron. Is this what American business has come to in effort to make a buck?
If so, how very sad!!! I WANT ANY AND ALL INFORMATION ON THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THESE FRADSTERS!!!

Did not process sales, no customer service
We had the same experience with this fraudulent, disreputable company. The processer they sent didn't work with our phone line (according to them), we were told to use the phone system to process transactions, Touchtone. We did this for months, processing 10-20 sales at the end of a day. We had sales codes for each one, and we assumed they went through. Months later we discovered some transactions didn't actually process. But there was no way of knowing when it happened, we went through each daily report and compared to our daily notes and found that we had lost thousands of dollars through this error in their system.
Not only did they make no attempt to resolve, fix or explain it (they said, call Touchtone, but Touchtone literally had no # or customer service), but then they wouldn't let us cancel. they could not provide the service they were supposed to provide, but they told us we had to pay for it for 3 years. Finally someone agreed to let us cancel for $250, we had to notify in writing. Of course they "never got the letter, never got the fax" or it had to be faxed somewhere else. It became obvious they were not going to let us cancel. I closed my bank account and not it is being disputed in collections, it was the only way to get a response.
In years of business, this is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. They are either a total scam or just have no management or ability to resolve issues. Spend more to process with a real bank!
*#@@ poor service
I signed up with North American Bancard on 10/07. At that time I was told they accepted Voyager and Wright Express. After several months of calling my Rep. about not being able to process these cards I was told they are still working on it. Then finally in May of 08 I told my Rep. I was tired of Paying 2 different credit card companies And I wanted to cancel.
I was paying One to process Wright Express and the other for all the other cards. Note: I never cancelled the agreement with the company I had before North American Bancard. The problem with that is I was still be charged for several months after that. Every month I would call & I was told ... we never received a cancel letter... I would fax it again. Then finally in Sept. of 08 I talked to "A Manager" who told me that the contract had been bought out by them and my Rep had no right to make any changes to my account or cancel it. Therefore... my account was still active and I was still being charged. He gave me 2 options. 1 - I could cancel with acct. but he couldn't refund the charges I have been paying since my May, when I THOUGHT I cancelled. 2 - I could the account and he would sign me up for different account. Yeah - I'm going to do that!! NO!!!
So... as of today... still waiting for my account to be cancelled and still paying the monthly fees - even though I haven't used the machine since May of 08. Need I say more about this wonderful Company? I think Not!!!!
North American bancard contract ripoff
I stopped processing credit cards about a year ago, and because of my contract, they take a $10.00 fee for no service at all until july of 2010. Then, my most recent statement they decided to add a $15.00 minimum usage fee since i'm not processing any cards at all.
So, they won't negotiate with me, but they can change the rules of the contract at any time. Very unethical and greedy company. it going to cost me $295 to never see a statement from them again. Direct your written complaints to Gary Rutledge/ CEO, and keep up the posts.
Many once mighty companies can fall in this economy and i hope NAB crumbles!
Year contract turns into three year when try to cancel
I was told that this was a year contract and that I could cancel after a year and that the credit card machine was mine. I have been with this company for 16 months and I just tried to call in to cancel my service with this company and I was told that I have another 20 months on the contract.
If I cancelled now, I would have to $500.00 and send back the machine. ($25.00 a month X 20 months). I was told that I could pay $25.00 a month untill the contract ends but that I could not accept any credit cards. The funny part is, is that I still have to return the credit card machine that was free.
Why do companies think that they have to take advantage of the little person? I got the credit card machine to accept credit cards at the flea market, it didn't work out and know I can not cancel. Is this right?
Should a company be that greedy, not to allow somebody to cancel a product or service for a resonnable fee?
