Not Allowed To Sit Alone At A Table, But Someone Else Was
- - First visit: solo at a table; meal and service were good.
- - On a return visit, diners were told to sit at the bar; Petrini's allowed solo seating.
I was a repeat customer who sat at a table alone my first time there since I was new in town. The meal and service were good then.
But when I returned to do the same, I was told that a single person can only sit at the bar, not at a table - despite my saying that I was allowed to the last time. I decided to leave and went to a better restaurant in the area, Petrini's, which I am glad I found and plan to return (better food, service and prices - and I was allowed to sit at a table alone). I returned to Nonna's to complain to the manager about what happened, and what do I see? A pretty young lady sitting at a table by herself!
I asked whether she is alone and she said yes she is. This shows discrimination to me, and I plan to file a complaint with the BBB plus online to alert others.
It's too bad because I thought this was a decent place, but guess not. I am a "pissed consumer" and so I am posting this here.
