AI Highlights
  • - Marriott Las Vegas used NoiseAware for in-room smoking monitoring.
  • - Charged $500 after false smoking accusation; staff claimed 100% accuracy.

We stayed at a Marriott property in Las Vegas that reportedly used NoiseAware for in room smoking monitoring. We were falsely accused of smoking cigarettes, marijuana or vaping in our room & charged $500 to our CC with no opportunity to dispute.

The front desk director of the hotel was incredibly rude and basically called us liars. He said the equipment is virtually 100% accurate and he put my husband and I through *** based on a false/inaccurate report from NoiseAware. Based on the positioning of the equipment in our room and the timing of the report that said we were smoking, the 100% accurate system detected my hairdryer and/or my flat iron overheating. Neither my husband or I have ever smoked cigs, marijuana, or vaped EVER in our 54 year lives.

NoiseAware's inaccurate report caused undue stress and ruined our entire night in Vegas. This product should not be allowed as it is not accurate and no hotel guest should ever be put through the ringer that we were. Also the hotel manager put 100% faith in this flawed product but told me I could contact NoiseAware about the report. When I did I received a message that they have chosen not to provide any telephone support!

Unbelievable! How can you trust a company that won't even speak to consumers about a problem.

User's recommendation: Beware!
