If you have to ask if you owe a bank/credit union money, you know that you do but can no longer access the accounts. Most likely it's because the accounts have been charged off and possibly sent to outside collections.
Now would be a good time to get a new bank account somewhere before the charge off is reported.
Once that happens, you will be hard pressed to find a traditional bank/credit union that will deal with you. You'll be restricted to those prepaid things that act like a bank but aren't.
